I was in Quixtar four times, dating back to 1982. It was good then, but has become infected by the tools and seminars profits. new people coming in have very little chance of building an organization, because the expenses they incur drive them out of the business quickly. Don't get fooled by the hype.

I was BIG into Quixtar, but have not done a THING in 2008. After almost a year one of my "team members" text-ed me. I was none too thrilled. I left because they tell you how to think, what to believe, and how to vote. You HAVE to be a conservative christian in order to fit in with those people. I, however, am a Liberal Pagan. You cant fit a square peg into a round hole. so on my way to my 3'rd "function," (a 3 day long, out of state sermon that costs hundreds of dollars) I FREAKED out, started smoking in the bathroom of the bus, and GOT ARRESTED. but I freaked out cause i did NOT want to go. I did not want to be preached at, alienated, put down, starved (they don't feed you!) sickened and otherwise tortured mentally down in Tennessee! (I herald from Minnesota) the fact of the matter is this: i COULD make a TON of money doing it. I KNOW i could. but A- its a recession. if it was not a recession i could do it, but that brings me to B- i DON'T think it is worth it to give up EVERYTHING i believe in to make money. I am more HUMAN than that. I would rather be poor like i am now than sell my soul to Amway and wind up in HELL

The stuff I keep hearing people saying is "identical" is the stuff you would expect to be much the same, as it's almost identical to any business or endeavour. Goal Setting. Education. Work. Sure, identical.

I think what's more important can be summed in one word - respect. In 7 years I have never ever heard religion or politics from stage or on on tape/CD - yet I read complaints about that all the time. In fact our system bans such talk. Is this identical? I have regularly heard from stage and on tape/CD that those not interested should be respected. Never have I heard those not interested or those who quit referred to as losers. Is this identical? Never have I seen lifestyles projected that are extravagant and couldn't be easily reached from the published average incomes. Never. Indeed the great majority of the time people promote the free trips and time with their family. Is this identical? Regularly have I been taught NEVER "buy" a pin. Build the business first not the pin. Is this identical?
That's the kind of thing I read about all the time on the 'net. That's the difference. Respect.

I was involved with World Wide Dreambuilders, but I have spoken to folks involved with every LOS in the U.S. and while they all suggest they are different, they are all very close to identical.

Apologies if you've covered this elsewhere, but I've just read your post, and I've also previously also read Bo Short's and Jeff Probst's site. It seems to me what they complain about and had problems with wasn't Quixtar or Amway. Like just about every other A/Q complainant on the internet, those guys were associated with the Britt/Yager group. Were you also involved with this group?

watch out! offering a REAL business opp like Passport could have the the "other" reps that can't get out of perpetual denial pasifying themselves by trying to label you. Ahhhh, the tough love that they can't get themselves to hone up ownership to. Ain't independent thinking grand!
