I don’t get Google

Posted on 04. Jan, 2006 by Ty Tribble in Uncategorized

I just unleashed 7 of my most closely guarded Internet Marketing files for the first time. Download Ty Tribble's MLM Web Secrets. It's my free gift to you for visiting.

This site is No. 1 on Google for "MLM Blog" and "Network Marketing Blog" but if you do a Google Blog Search for MLM, it is not listed under related blogs. Wouldn't you think that the No. 1 blog related to MLM and Network Marketing would be listed under related blogs for MLM and Network Marketing?

I know that I have two other projects listed under MLM (one of them twice), so I am not really complaining, just perplexed.

A friend of mine once told me "never try to figure out Google". I should listen.

The "MLM Blog" #1 listing is pretty easy to figure out. It's the Title of your blog, not just a generic search term. and is part of your URL.

You've been around long enough to for Google's algorhythm to figure out.

Just like a direct search of "On the Road With Dave" garners me a #1 position. It took awhile to beat out Dave Matthews and Dave Grohl's Tractor site when I was on Blogger, but I made it quick after my domain included the blog title.

As for your other search topics, I haven't a clue.

    David,

I understand your point, but I was pointing out that the Google search engine lists this site as No. 1 when searching for "Network Marketing Blog", yet when you do a BLOG search for "Network Marketing", it's not shown.

To quote Alanis Morrisette, "it's a little ironic, don't ya think?"

I think you should be happy that you are number one for those two terms. I know people (like me) who would do anything to get listed as #1 for those terms. :)

    Thanks!

I have been blogging since October of 2003, but I am not sure when I hit number 1 on Google for MLM Blog.

Maybe If you look closer to details, Google Blog Search is still Beta! That's maybe why all these doesn't make sense?? I tried seached for couple of High ranking blogs, yet they don't appear in the Blog search as even top 10.
Anyway, Got to rank #1 in Google means a lot though. Cheer up! dude..
