Fred recruits you. Fred gets you “fired up” on the system. Fred encourages you to get others, then get them “fired up” on the system.
You recruit 5 people who get on premiere. Fred is now making 6 x $7 = $42, not counting profit on CDs, as well as the Quixtar related PV / BV Bonuses.
Now, you’re taking advice from Fred, and you say, “Fred, I have 5 people in my group and my net income for the past 3 months has been negative $300 a month.”
Fred replies, “Buy more CDs, recruit more IBOs and get them on Premiere.”

Fred is another pond in the kingpins'schemes. Fred is making a need little money while the the kingpins recruit more little freds everyday.
Fred needs to BE a leader and help him create VOLUME to become profitable. If the new guy isn't ready to do that, then Fred needs to go downline to the other 5 guys and find who is ready to build a list so that they can get some customers.
If he is ready, then Fred needs to help him find a product line that he feels comfortable with. Fred will go onto Quixtar and find all available information that he can find about the product. Fred's $7.00 profit from the new guy on Premiere should go into brochures and other Product Support Materials his new guys need.
The amount of money Fred makes from premiere members and other business materials is unknown to me. Assuming what you have said is true… it should be incentive for the new premiere member to aspire to be like Fred and build up their own business to platinumship so that they can make that little extra money. If platinumship is not good enough because you don't want to be a (pond? I think you meant pawn) in the Kingpin's scheme, work a little harder and become the next Kingpin.
The point is, the opportunity is the same for everyone. It all depends on how much effort each person puts into it. If it takes fifteen years or so (as Ty has pointed out a few times), I'm still up for it. In fifteen years, I'll be on an exotic island with my wife and kids and you'll still be blogging.
