Enmity directed at Amway, the company DeVos' father, Richard DeVos, cofounded and that became Alticor under Dick DeVos' stint as president from 1993 to 2002, was a common theme on the Free Press Web site. Comments ranged from sarcastic questions to bitter denunciation. The vehemence of some of the feelings expressed toward Amway suggested his critics might think better of DeVos if he had sold cocaine.
