I was looking through my web traffic and found that someone found my blog by searching for "larry winters blog"…I followed the search link back to Yahoo and saw that Larry Winters World was # 1 and the wacky Larry Winters web site floodgates were opened.

I have no doubt Larry Winters is a pretty offensive guys but I'm almost 100% sure some of the clips are taken out of context (i.e., in relation to the titles). I mean, some of the clips are really, really short. For example, in the "Woman, shut up your pie-hole" clip, I can imagine that he was talking about a woman that was saying things he considered to be stupid and that it was not an attack on all women.

If the words "woman, shut your pie hole" come out of your mouth in a business meeting in front of thousands of people, you have a problem. It is an attack on all women. That is offensive to me and I am not even a woman.

Speaking of being offended, Winters was offensive to:
Catholics
Mexicans
Women
Homesexuals
and
Vegetarians
Not to mention the threats to pile in buses and tear up NBC.
If someone sent me an email that said that a well respected business leader said all of those things, I would have trouble believing them, until the email stated that the guy was mentored by Bill Britt, then it would be perfectly clear.

Larry Winters always told his wife Pam too shut her pie hole. Yeah I was on the Winters team under Joe Markiewicz for 4 1/2 years. As a matter of fact next Saturday the 23rd will be ONE YEAR of freedom. From Quixtar!!

a) these are obviously WAY out of context, they're a matter of seconds long, for all anyone knows they could be immediately preceded by "what kind of a-hole would say…"
b) he prefaces all of his talks with the caveat that he is just going to cut loose and have some fun, generally he is speaking after there have been speakers teaching on important topics, and larry is just teaching mindset. yes, you read that right, he is teaching mindset by being totally irreverent and offensive (if you take it at face value and out of context, which you would not if you were there listening to him). don't like it? don't listen to it.

Don't you think it's a little unfair to take excepts that are totally not what they sound like on your blog and attack somebody with them? Did you fail at Quixtar or something or you just don't like Larry Winters?
