Less Alticor, No Quixtar = New Amway:

GRAND RAPIDS — While Amway remains a household name after more than 40 years, Quixtar still doesn't resonate with the public nearly seven years after its creation.

So direct-sales giant Alticor Inc. will phase out its Quixtar Inc. label during the next 1 1/2 to two years and rebuild its Amway Corp. brand in the United States and Canada.

There also will be less corporate use of the name Alticor, which represents a holding company.

Amway rebranding aimed to restore confidence:

Less sizzle. More sales.

That's the philosophy behind the return of Amway as the across-the-globe brand at the company known for seven years as Alticor Inc.

The privately held Ada Township-based direct sales giant will dump the 7-year-old Quixtar and Alticor names over the next 18 to 24 months.

Do you think that once the name is Amway again that they will no longer have the partner stores? I don't the the big partner store deal brought much revenue to Quixtar. I think it might just go back to plain old Amway which is what all the IBOs around my neck of the woods swore it wasn't.

I thought the IBOAI always worked together with Quixtar. Now I see on the IBOAI website that they admit they didn't even know about the name change. Doesn't sound like working together. They also mention that they work tirelessly to protect the interests of IBOs. I wonder who they think they are protecting IBOs from? Sounds like protection from Quixtar. It just doesn't sound like they are getting along to well.

    G,
I have no idea what you are saying. I have never heard the IBOIA come out with 3 separate messages. They always speak as One. Now,if they are looking out for the IBOs then why for the past 7 years have they been saying Q is the best opportunity in the world & is going to be a 100 billion dollar business when in fact we now see that according to Q itself, it never caught on. I think the IBOAI has one interest & that is in protecting their tools business. I am not sure what your 1/3 thought is.

Bob, I've searched the entire IBOAI website and can't find anywhere they're talking about a 100 billion dollar business. Could you point me to the right URL for that?

This is just the first step to Amway UK. Paying for the "system" has always been more costly than "working the business" and the insults thrown at people who don't support the "system" is unbearable. I think Amway will furnish tools with PV that would be great! for those that stay in. Income should be generated from the "business" not the "system" or it's all a lie until you inform everyone up front. I think the corporation has finally gotten the balls to put a stop to the madness.

    G –

You commented about Amway attaching PV to tools. Currently, they offer tools which can be purchased on Quixtar, but those tools do not have any PV/BV attached. I believe it is part of the standard the Federal Trade Commission has set, but I could be mistaken.

    BSM-IBO,

I've never posted about AmWay attaching pv/bv to tools. It has however been discussed and is being discussed again. Yes, you are correct about it being a legal department issue. Either way it has never even been an issue for me, if it is for you, call "AmWay" :) Legal and ask away. You will get answers.

Let's talk about ($MONEY$)instead and what it is going to do for you and your family to have more of it.
