What Makes Quixtar A “Great Opportunity”?
Posted on 24. Apr, 2008 by Ty Tribble in Quixtar
I just unleashed 7 of my most closely guarded Internet Marketing files for the first time. Download Ty Tribble's MLM Web Secrets. It's my free gift to you for visiting.
I just saw a comment from a reader that suggested that Quixtar is a "great opportunity". I see this statement a lot, but I say that the facts show something entirely different. The facts show a poor compensation plan that pays out 25% less on the wholesale volume than the top growing companies today. I see thousands of me-too products that differentiate themselves only by being priced higher than everyone else and I see arguably the worst reputation in the industry.
Compare Quixtar to a job and Quixtar can look pretty good. Compare Quixtar to the fast growing and well managed Network Marketing companies of 2008 and Quixtar looks pretty bad.
So, you know my perspective, now lets see your perspective...

I take OFFENSE to your remarks, sir. I have a job, and I'd take my job ANY day of the week over Quixtar.
At least in my JOB, I'm not told that most of the REAL money is in an aspect of my business that "I'll be told about as I need to know it" (I don't get to decide when I need to know). In my JOB if I piss of my director, he won't channel my business around me so I get cut off from most of my income. In my JOB, if I am wronged, I don't have to go into ARBITRATION. I can hire a lawyer and have the legal protections accorded an American. In my JOB, I don't have to hire people using inflated claims and half truths, and keep them in my business by promising them they'll make it if they only buy some books and tapes.
My JOB is W-A-Y better than Quixtar.

I take offense as well. In my job, when someone asks me what I do I don't have to say something that sounds good but really means nothing like "private franchising". Also, when I refer an agent to our insurance agency they know the name of the agency right off the bat. Not three hours into the presentation.

Hey Joseph, come to our presentations and you'll see the "obsession". And no. I'm not trying to recruit you like you did me over at the soap opera boards.

I removed a couple of comments from this post due to links placed in the comment section. There is a place to link your business marked "URL". Use that if you'd like to promote your business.
As for my obsession…my obsession is my family.
I write about Quixtar on the MLM Blog because it is an MLM with 600,000 potential readers in the U.S., alone. This site is not about my obession, it is about entertaining the readers and sparking conversations.

I don't care what % of profits QUixtar is paying me. $30K to $70K supplemental income is a good deal. Let them make their profit. I like Quixtar because of the breadth of products. It is not JUST makeup. It is not JUST legal services. It is not JUST juice drinks. By and large, it is not about pushing or tricking people into buying their products like Primerica (yes I know a not insignificant number of IBOs do that anyway).

I totally agree that there are MANY MLMs that are better than this one. Even most of the people in it don't like it. I am trying to write a blog about what makes a good MLM company, and I would love some input….
