Search engine blog traffic is always interesting.  Sometimes we get wind of a story early on and sometimes it is simply rumor and speculation, but we had some search traffic find the MLM Blog as a result of the following today:

"Derek Broes Terminated"

Derek is (was?) the Vice President of Sales for Efusjon.  Efusjon has run into some bad press as a result of the lies and hype spread all over the web.

If you have any information about Derek Broes and Efusjon, please post it below.

Meanwhile if you are looking for our exclusive interview with Derek Broes:

Here is an interview with Efusjon President:

Update: This looks like a rumor. Derek Broes Twitter suggests that he is on Vacation.

Update II: I'm no longer convinced that this is just a rumor.  Getting a lot of traffic for "Derek Broes Leaves Efusjon" and "Derek Broes Terminated".  We'll see what happnens. Also interesting is that Broes had not posted anything on his Facebook since July 19th.

Update III:  Derek has been fishing in British Columbia, not terminated from Efusjon.  I'm not saying he is happy with what has transpired and I suspect that he will be making some statements in the near future.

Not really possible in that Derek Broes is not an employee of efusjon. He is a distributor. He holds the master position in the community matrix.

Distributors can certainly be terminated from a company.

Any news on this? Has anyone seen or heard from Derek Broes in the last few days?

Doesn't anyone find it interesting that he takes a vacation a week after the "BIG LAUNCH"????? Shouldn't he be hitting it hard right dealing with the avalanche of new business, not taking a va-ca?

"Distributors can certainly be terminated from a company."

Very true – I was responding to "Derek is (was) Sales Vice President…" He is not an employee.

He did respond on Twitter regarding the rumors.

The question is if Derek will continue to market with the same full force as before, or will he just "ride it out" and pursue his many other interests, including training/coaching and politics.

Anyone know what's happening with the National Bus Tour?

If derek is kicked out because of him using a confrence call to talk about running for senate then that means im in the rite company. If you dont stick with the rules of the company then you will be terminated. This shows me that corporate is sticking with their policy and they dont care who you are. Good job guys dont let money or power change the way you are doing things for efusjon. And for all the other snakes that made their way into efujon and have some something up your sleve. Think twice before you make your move!

The only reason to have been with the company was because of the marketing technology. Do you actually think that a “healthy” energy drink is new? Verve and others have been on the market for several years, and it’s an incredibly crowded market.

So if the guy who was behind the marketing mojo is gone, if his marketing mojo didn’t work, if the management hasn’t been straight with people about what the technology would actually do, if the comp plan keeps changing, what reason is there to be with this company?

As a well known industry leader (in 2 opportunities prior to our current company my partner and I had combined teams of over 600,000 distributors and group sales of $2 billion, coaching numerous people to incomes of up to $1 million a year and more), I’m amazed at the number of people who blindly jumped on the Efusjon bandwagon in the first place!

They are obviously new or not very experienced or knowledgeable about our industry, especially pay plans, and this hub is a perfect example!

The recent changes at Efusjon (several pay plan changes already) plus the fallout over the less than stellar performance of the much hyped “Facebook application” has caused numerous people to leave Efusjon. Here’s why:

    1) Efusjon is less than 2 years old. 98% of new companies fail in their first 2 years! Furthermore, of the 30,000-50,000 companies that have launched in the past 6 decades, less than 100 have made it to the 10 year mark! You’re talking 1 company, on average, out of every 300-500 companies that launch surviving 5-10 years! One! That’s called luck! A fluke! No smart entrepreneur bets their success on luck! If you were looking to put the odds of success in your favor, you certainly wouldn’t choose a new, start up deal!

Of course, the “big lie” that is used to promote groundfloor programs is that it is those that are in at the beginning are the ones who make the big money, and that is the rationale for taking a high risk bet. There’s just one problem: It’s just not true! Most top income earners at the “old school” companies are not those that were in at the beginning. Many didn’t get involved until the 2-3-4-5th year or later!

    2) Matrix plans do NOT work which explains the frequent changes at Efusjon! Of the 30,000-50,000 opportunities that have launched over the past 6 decades, only 1 has experienced any significant, long term success with a matrix pay plan-one, and that company has had to modify their plan on numerous occasions in order to keep their top leaders! Whenever something only works once, we call that a fluke!

Nobody in their right mind would get involved with something that has only worked once! (Owners looking for a short term cash grab like them because they know that their company is not likely to be around 2-3 years from now and matrix plans pay out less money than any other pay plan due to all the breakage that occurs, regardless of whether it’s a forced matrix, has compression, etc.)

Furthermore, the one particular company that has had some success with a matrix plan launched 25 years ago, when there were far fewer opportunities available. Today that same company probably wouldn’t survive 10 years. In addition, they’ve had to make numerous changes to their plan in order to retain their leaders, many who left anyway.

In fact, there’s hasn’t been one company in the past 10-15 years with a matrix pay plan that has generated substantial numbers, experienced long term success, and generated a large number of high 5 or 6 figure monthly incomes-not one!

No experienced or knowledgeable network marketing professional with an understanding of the history of our industry and compensation plans would ever work a matrix plan, no matter what typical wrinkle you add such as forced matrix, compression, or some other new fangled idea as they are notorious for breakage and pay out far less than other pay plans, which is one reason for the several pay plan changes made already by Efusjon!

Claims of massive amounts of potential spillover are further evidence that people have no grasp of how compensation plans works. Each level you go down in a matrix plan the less in potential spillover occurs, not more! It’s a basic mathematical fact! (If you want maximum potential for spillover, work a binary plan!)

Additionally, regulators consider matrix pay plans gimmicky and they’re most often associated with “money games.”

So far, Efusjon has made several changes in their compensation plan and I’ve got news for you-they’ll be making several more, it’s just a matter of time! Why? Because matrix plans don’t work!

Reasons #1 and #2 would be reason enough not to get involved with Efjusjon IF you were looking to put the odds of success in your favor! You’ve got the biggest strikes against right from the start! The odds of a new company surviving 5 years are 1 in 30-500 (talk about a long shot!) and a pay plan concept that has never worked! Nothing like virtually guaranteeing you’re going to fail than signing up in a new company with a matrix pay plan!

And then people wonder why 97% of people in our industry fail, never succeed, and never make money! It starts with making a smart business decision and putting the odds of success in your favor, not trying to beat the odds!

    As if reasons #1 and #2 weren’t bad enough…..

    3) The “Facebook application” has been one big hype job! In fact, Facebook itself is not real happy! Furthermore, driving traffic and attracting eyeballs is one thing-whether or not they stick once they sign up for the long term is another matter, and in fact, due to having a matrix plan, that virtually assures they won’t stick long term. Many are already leaving!

(If they knew points #1 and 2 above, they never would have gotten involved in the first place! You should always to try to put the odds of success in your favor, not try to defy history and the odds, which is usually a recipe for failure!

In addition, anyone can create an application for Facebook, just like you can for eBay.

Here’s 9 additional reasons why VEMMA and it’s Verve energy drink is a much smarter business decision:

    4) VEMMA’s Verve Energy Drink is a Superior Product!

Verve has a higher ORAC score and a complete spectrum of 12 vitamins, 65 essential and trace minerals, antioxidants, Aloe Vera, Green Tea, and the amazing superfruit, Mangosteen, is supported by clinical studies, and recommended by leading doctors! In addition, Mangosteen is considered to be a superior superfruit to Acai as shown in Men’s Health magazine. Efusjon is NOT a full spectrum formula and has no clinical studies!

Verve is available in 8 ounce cans and 3 ounce shots with regular or sugar free versions.

Most exciting, we have recently launched an exciting product for children 2-12 years of age!

Finally, VEMMA has its own 70,000 square foot, state of the art manufacturing facility.

    5) VEMMA Has Superior Value!

In VEMMA, the distributorship is FREE! Efusjon charges $30!

    6) VEMMA Has Superior Recognition and Media Coverage!

Verve has just been named 2009 Product of the Year in competition held by a leading fitness/health publication whose judging panel included fitness pros, doctors, and anti-aging specialist and it’s now the official energy drink of 4 U.S. pro sports teams, a first in network marketing history!

In addition, it’s been featured on the covers of and/or in such magazines as Success, Women’s Fitness, Work at Home, Ms. Fitness, and others!

    7) VEMMA Has a Superior Pay Plan!

Top distributors are earning up to $100,000 a month and more within 1-3 years, most having started part time and the best part is you only have to build 2 teams! Top incomes after 3-4 years are up to $2 million a year and growing! And the best part is in VEMMA’s distributorship is FREE (Efusjon charges $30) and in VEMMA you get paid weekly whereas in Efusjon you don’t get paid until the middle of the following month!

    8) VEMMA Has a Superior Management Team

VEMMA is a rapidly growing, 5 year old international company recently featured on the covers of Success magazine and Direct Selling News, one of the industry’s leading trade journals! The VEMMA ownership and management team has already built one billion dollar network marketing company (the parent company of VEMMA). Who is more likely to build a billion dollar network marketing company-People who have done it before or those that never have done it? Common sense should give you the answer!

    9) VEMMA Has More Countries to Market In!

VEMMA is legally operating in 50 countries, far more than Efusjon, with an emphasis on legally! Most MLM companies “fly under the radar” when it comes to operating in foreign countries.

    10) We Have a Superior Team to Join!

My partner and I have 60 years of combined experience in network marketing, having built some of the largest, fastest growing and most successful groups in the history of the industry. In 2 companies prior to VEMMA, we built combined teams of more than 600,000 distributors, generated $2 billion in group sales, and helped numerous people on our teams to earn up to $1 million a year and more!

We’re now #3 top earners with the number one international group! Join a team with support, training, a powerful, online business building system, and leadership! You’ll be sponsored by and work directly with us!

    11) Timing and Positioning

Here’s the best part! Once you’re positioned on our global expansion team, everyone we sponsor in any of 50 countries goes below you, positioning you with the opportunity to earn an income on their sales and on the 2 teams they develop, enabling you to primarily focus on building just one team! It sure beats having to build 3 “legs” or teams!

    12) State of the art, web enabled websites with facebook and twitter application, blogging capabilities, and more plus advanced back office architecture with up to the minute details on your business.

    13) VEMMA has a stronger story!

Just what this industry needs is another person bashing another company! And we wonder why it’s so hard to get people to join in any MLM business. I have never seen so much cut throating and it makes me sick. At first I thought someone was just giving some good info but at the end it was just another person bashing Efusjon to get people to join his or her company. First off i think verve is going on the fourth year. So they had time to go around the globe and get in magazines. Efusjon just got to their first year and they are growing fast. I see why the owner of Verve would be bashing Efusjon. The fact is when you bash another company you can really hurt the good and honest people in that company. These people work hard to put food on the table for their family and a roof over their head. So when you post comments like that it really shows your true colors. I think Efusjon is not so much worried about making millionaires. I think Efusjon caters to the average person to get into industry to be able to pay their bills and put food on the table. Times like this is where people need to be helping each other rather then fighting over whose company is better than the other. Here is an idea, instead of fighting let’s get together and start putting some energy towards helping our schools by sponsoring them and helping them put money in sports programs and after school programs. Just an idea!!!!!!! Please take this idea and run with it!
Our country is hurting more then ever due to greed.
I have to go now but i will comment more later

So here we go again! One more person bashing another persons business. This is why the MLN business has the rep it has. Let me just tell you why i got into Efusjon. I am a General contractor and i drink energy drinks twice a day so i don’t fall asleep behind the wheel due to all the hours i work and all of the driving i do. I have always known that red bull is bad for me but i still bought them. When i heard about Efusjon i thought to myself that i am already spending the money on these drinks so why not drink something that is healthy for me and tastes good. Now before i signed up i look around and my friend in Arizona was a rep for verve and he was doing good at it. So he told me about it and then he sent me a 12 pack of verve. When i got it now remember i still had a open mind before i join either company. The truth is verve doesn’t taste that good, sort of like red bull doesn’t taste that good either but you get use to it. Efusjon tastes good TO ME and has four flavors to chose from. They even have mangostene which is the only thing that verve has. Now lets talk about my friend in Az. He was at the point where he was making around$5,000 each month with Verve and recently one of his downline reps jumped ship with some of his other people and went to another company and it wasn’t Efusjon. Now my friend was thinking about quitting Verve and just giving up on the hole Mln idea. So I have talked him into sticking with it and I just told him the facts about business. I told him a fact about 80% of contractors that go into business today, fail in the first two years. Its not just the MLN businesses that has such high risk to fail, its all businesses. The fact is most people think its easy to start a business but what they find out is that it takes a lot of hard work, time, money, energy and self confidence. Now what’s great about companies like Efusion and Verve is doesn’t cost that much to invest into them. Now to start a traditional business you have to invest a lot of money to even get started in them. I invested over $5,000 just to get my company started with license fees, insurance fees, website, business cards and a lot more and that’s just to start it up. That doesn’t include keeping it going. And I knew the risk of 80% of companies fail!
I know that 99% of people in the MLN industry sell the idea of rags to riches to new prospects and tell them how easy it is. And when these folks buy into that they quickly find out that its not as easy as they were told it was going to be. So they quit and then go and tell all their friends that it’s a scam. People will blame anybody but themselves when they fail at something and that’s just the way it is. Now lets say people tell the new prospects the facts like they might have to work at it and even after they tried they still might fail. But there is a chance that they may know someone that knows someone that might take off with it and you can make money off of everything they do. And tell them it might not be hundreds of thousands of dollars but it could be anywhere from paying for the product or service to a couple of thousand dollars each month. as it doesn’t sound like a lot too some but for the average American a few hundred to 2,000 to 10,000 extra each month is a hell of a lot especially times like now where everyone is hurting like never before. Let’s say they started telling people the facts 10 years ago in this business. Do you think that people that fail at it would still go around and blame the MLN industry to be a scam. Do you think more people today would get involved in the mln industry if it had a better reputation. The answer is YES so lets start telling the truth to new people and give them the information they need to succeed in this industry because the risk is worth the reward. And lets stop the cut throat and just stick with the company that you are in and put that energy into helping yourself first, then you can help others after that.
Remember this is just my opinion ! Thanks for your time and good luck with what ever business you get into!

I’ve tasted VERVE and had to spit it out. I have four boys who love energy drinks, they tasted VERVE and gagged. I can’t represent a product that I don’t cosume or like. With Efusjon, it is an awesome company and a delicious product. At one of our meetings, we had a side by side taste test between VERVE, Monavie and Efusjon…. Across the board, Efusjon won, hands down! That was for openers, then we shared Efusjon’s compensation plan. That was and is the clincher…..for those of us who are willing to take stock in ourselves, Efusjon is the business to help you become financially independent.

    April:

The Efusjon comp plan was the clincher? ROFLMAO..It must have been a room full of people who have never been in network marketing before!

Matrix plans have been done thousands of times in our industry over the past 3 decades and only 1, count them, 1, company has had any significant, long term success with a matrix plan. Matrix plans do not work long term, and that’s a fact, not an opinion! Talk about trying to beat the odds!

Whenever something has been done thousands of times and has only worked once, we call that a fluke! No experienced network marketing professional would work a matrix plan!

In addition, you make far less in a matrix plan than you do on the same volume in other, proven pay plan models as there is considerable breakage in matrix pay plans, regardless of whether they are forced, not forced, have compression, are expandable, not expandable, or a host of other band aid solutions that have been attempted over the years. (Owners like them because they pocket the breakage.)

Finally, regulators consider matrix pay plans gimmicky as they are most often associated with “money games.”

To make matters worse, you have a relatively new company and we know that 99% of new start ups fail within their first 3 years. So, your idea of putting the odds of success in your favor is to join a start up and one with a matrix pay plan? No, that’s called ignoring history and trying to beat the odds, which almost always results in failure!

In terms of the product, Efusjon is not a complete full spectrum formula (does not contain 65 essential and trace plant sourced minerals like Verve has for example), has no clinical studies to document it’s effectiveness (lab tests on an ingredient in a test tube don’t count!), and has no published ORAC score…

So, I for one, being an experienced industry leader, am left with trying to figure out just how you oould be so enamored with the Efusjon opportunity.

By the way, taste is something subjective-it’s an opinion…I could say that Efusjon tastes like a sugary kool aid and that people that I know have tried it and had to spit it out….

Personally, I know lots of people both young and old alike who drink Verve and think the taste is fine…

Taste isn’t necessarily the determining factor. If it were, Red Bull wouldn’t be the #1 best selling energy drink because most would agree it is not the best tasting energy drink on the market. McDonald’s doesn’t have the best tasting hamburger in the world, but they sell more hamburgers than anyone else in the world…

A straight apples to apples comparison is not bashing! It is what it is-an honest and factual comparison that dispels much of the hype from misinformed and inexperienced Efusjon reps.

Bashing is when you say something negative for the sake of just saying something negative and which is usually an opinion and not rooted in facts…There is nothing in my analysis or points that is not factual!

Comparisons are done all the time in the advertising world…You see it with car companies all the time…Ford extolling the virtues of their pick up truck over Chevy, for example…

Facts and opinions are 2 different things…I prefer to deal with facts! Everything in terms of the points mentioned are based on history and facts.

I only mentioned VEMMA as it has a superior product to Efusjon from a scientific and nutritonal point of view and a proven pay plan compared to the Efusjon matrix plan, which has already undergone 4 changes in just the first year, not usually a good sign!

(Historicallyl, we’re not surprised by these changes as 1) matrix plans have never worked with the exception of one company, and 2) those of us with extensive knowledge and experience already know that matrix plans undergo these changes the first year-the always do! When you’ve seen the same movie over and over, the ending is never a surprise! It’s only a surprise to those who have never seen the movie, i.e., newbies to the network marketing industry.

It is rather humorous for many of us who are knowledgeable and experienced with pay plans to read the comments of Efusjon distributors talking about how great the pay plan is…We immediately know it is someone who is either new to the industry or very inexperienced as only 1 company in the past 25 years has had any significant, long term success with a matrix plan. Keep in mind they launched back in the mid 80’s when there were only a handful of opportunities in the marketplace. Today there are thousands with a new one launched every hour these days. If that same company were launching today, they probably wouldn’t make it 10 years…

By the way, how long you have been in business has nothing to do with getting into magazines! Verve was named 2009 Product of the Year by a leading U.S. fitness/health publication because of the quality of the product, it’s nutritional content, and the fact it has clinical studies to prove it works in the body, something Efusjon doesn’t have!

Verve is now the official energy drink of 4 U.S. pro sports teams for the same reasons as well as having WADA certification.

“MLMExpert” uses the same text and cuts and pastes it on every blog he can find about Efusjon. He also goes by “MLM Dream Team” It is nothing more than a tactic to get people into his other opportunity. If you don’t believe me just take a paragraph from his text and paste it in Google search. You’ll see all the pages where he has used this to try and recruit people to his other business. Don’t believe a word he says… he has motives.

Efusjon is moving forward and is in a better position now because of the great comp plan changes/additions. They wanted to get the compensation plan right moving into international launch and that is where we are right now. For those that stick with it and use a proven system to build their business, they are in for the ride of their lives.
