Here's an update on the alleged iJango pyramid scheme...they are launching Saturday, August 1, 2009 in Las Vegas at the Encore Hotel. Steve Smith of Excel Communications fame has partnered with the guy who started The Relationship Company.

iJango claims they will be the center of the online universe and that this will be the most powerful event in the history of network marketing.

Hype and hyperbole. Hype and hyperbole. Why has someone in China registered over 650 domains that have the word iJango?

You have been warned.

Ijango is Awsome. Steve Smith has a great reputation for paying his downline and so far I have over 6k on a 150 dollar investment. This is not a scam. I have seen and run the demo of the program and it is nothing less than amazing

So you've made 6k on sales of product through the iJango "center of the internet universe" portal…or just from recruiting others?

I'm assuming that you've been rewarded for recruiting rather than product sales as the iJango scam is still in pre-launch.

This is the definition of a pyramid scheme.

I am glad to see that someone has followed up on my iJango warnings, especially the fact that their domain names are registered in China, the registrar, Andrea Shurz, owns over 650 other domain names.
This is a very dangerous pyramid scheme/scam/fraud where many people face going broke real fast.

Is it just me or does iJango sound like some horrible disease.

    "Have you seen Steve?"
"No, He is home sick. I heard he has a bad case of the iJango"

So iJango is just another search engine(basically, but it is set up as an MLM. Lots of people are touting this as the biggest opportunity to ever hit the MLM industry. Sounds like a lot of hype. When talking about your MLM opportunity, take the approach of playing it down. You see, everyone hypes their opportunity. That's normal. Try a different approach. Separate yourself from all the other MLMs. Instead of hype, take a smooth, cool, calm, and collected approach. Use an approach like this, "You look like someone that might qualify to come work for my company, I'd like to interview you, and see if there is a fit. Do you have a good contact number I can reach you at?" If you use this approach 10 times a day, you will get 9 phone numbers and you wil get a one on one opportunity with at least 6 people! Trust me it works,

I also have been working with ijango and I am making about $450 dollars a day. youcan all say what you want but this thing is making me $$ in an economy that is horrible. I also have been to see the demo and I think it is a great product. It is only 150 dollars to get in. I signed up at registerijango.com as did a lot of my friends and I think this is close to the top. Also I have not heard much hype at all in fact they are trying to keep it a secret untill the launch on Aug 1St

How is DC Mitchell warning people to beware and praising them at the same time?

I don't understand your question Monica. Both warning and praise are acts of kindness – they are not mutually exclusive.Plus I haven't done much praising of anyone involved with iJango…As Jim Johnson says (he was the first to comment on this post) "Ijango is Awsome."

Hey, DC Mitchelle. Quick question… you say a lot of people will be "going broke" real fast in iJango. The investment is $150 one time and $19.95/mo for the website. Am I missing something? Let's say that you're right and it doesn't work. As far as I can tell, I've spent what I would if I had an AOL account. Where does the "going broke" part come in?

Hey, Dion Rainey. Quick answer. It was MLM Blog reader Thomas Drake in a comment above that used the phrase "going broke real fast."

I did write "With the state of the economy these days the $150 it takes to get started could buy a lot of food and essentials."

You can register a domain in China, Bulgaria or Ten Buck Two. But you can only file for Bankruptcy in The United States Bankruptcy Court.. Anyone wanting to get involved with Cameron needs to take 15 minutes to read this:

The big danger I see is that iJango has yet to explain how revenue will be made post-launch. Referrals pre-launch are one thing, but there is zero information on how they intend to make money once the software is free.

When I invest in something I expect to see a full business plan including detail on how the business intends to generate revenue. No profit? No thanks. I have yet to see a single explanation of anything financial except the design of the pyramid.

I am always amazed at the ease to which one spews crap before they have all of the facts. I have seen the presentation and love the idea. Some of the above comments, as with any blog, seriously make me laugh. The annonimity let's people write whatever they would like without fact to back it up. The portal allows people to stay within it while they continue doing everything they already do online. The advertisers are the ones that make Google worth 140 billion dollars. Ijango will as well make it's money from the ad revenue generated while within that portal. Very simple concept.

    @Cheryl G:
The literal interpretation of the "abundance" of details from the iJango video is that the generated revenue will actually be coming from Google's own profits.
Well, I guess they will just make donations to the iJango charity!

For those of us with bartabs in excess of $150 on a Saturday night, I'm excited to find a better way to invest that $150 into something that doesn't kill my liver, but instead gives me the possibility of harnessing my part of the net's ad/usage revenues. If we only had a different spokesperson, I'd have landed mucho mas personas to join me in spreading the word re: iJango!

Hey I spend $150 per year on Fantasy Football and usually don't win. I figure why not take a chance on ijango. I don't have to worry about injuries or who's starting every week. I am just going to treat it as a very small risk that can pay off if you spend a little time every week working at it. I don't think I am going to get rich, but I do expect to make some money. You need to keep things in perspective.
