A product liability suit claiming an Avon bath product caused an allergic reaction and rectal bleeding is set for case management Wednesday.
The 2009 suit was brought by Darlene Fisher and seeks damages in excess of $200,000, attorneys' fees, costs and pre-judgment interest.
Fisher claims that the company's Skin So Soft Light and Lush shower gel caused her pain, suffering, disfigurement, loss of wages and medical bills.
Madison County Circuit Judge Dennis Ruth is presiding.
According to her complaint, Fisher received the gel as a gift. She claims that on the day of the incident in April 2007, she had not used any other product that could account for the reaction.
Fisher claims the gel caused irritation, itching, urinary tract infection, rectal bleeding, and sinus infection among other ailments.
