Monavie is interesting.

I think they have probably one of the strongest brands in the nutiritional MLM sector. But they do come off very cultish.

If I was to do a nutritional again, I'd go back to Visalus, or choose between Eiro/Agel personally.

All three companies from what I seen are great, and you don't seem a lot of that same hyped up stuff I see from Monavie and Efusjon reps.

Least not as much haha.

Great post Dan.

oh G-d another Amway, thinking their father distributor is the prophet for Jesus and the company is G-d (G-d forbid) and that this company was written in the beginning of time to make sure it brings about the last day retribution. If we removed the name monavie and put the word "amway" no one would have been able to tell the difference.

Another cult.

I agree with Jared - this type of behavior is exactly why so many turn their noses to this incredible industry.

Those who are fooled to believing this type of propaganda marketing, are not the type of people I would want on my team, anyways.

Afterall - they probably still believe "work only 10 minutes a day and make $10K a month"

Keep it real, simple and to the point.

Great post! This is the exact behavior that has given our industry a very bad reputation. It makes our "job" even harder with regards to recruiting and such.

I only hope that the masses are smart enough to know that this is the view of one person and not of the company.

I am glad to see everyone get animated about a story like this. I thouroughly enjoyed reading the responses, and had to add my own. "Foosball...its de debil!" Which is the only thing I could think of when I was reading the original hype letter.

I wish everybody the happiest and most prosperous holiday season. Namaste.

I was with a juice company that became very paranoid about blatant hype. But, I understand. You have got to be very careful. The company can be sued and go out of business like some nutritional companies.

There is a big difference between a product the helps people lose weight (proven in a measured field study by the way) and "drink Monavie...cancer no more".

If I say, EIRO Super Antioxidant is proven to increase the antioxidant levels within your bloodstream within 60 minutes I am telling people about the EIRO clinical trial. Big difference between that and a simple Google search of "Monavie Arthritis" which yields this and more:

"Monavie is known to have helped people all over the world with a lot of diseases. In some cases they recovered completely from what they were suffering, while in others, their pain was reduced and they started feeling better."

Ty,

Thanks for the link and I have to agree with Captain. Nobody can claim that their nutritional beverage or wellness product can treat, prevent or cure any condition or disease but I have every right to share my experience with my friends, family and prospects. We do it all of the time in everything we do. By the way, didn't you post some story a few weeks back about how one of your products helped you to lose weight? Same thing Ty and I didn't hear anyone crying foul on that, did you? Weren't you essentially telling people that if they used your product that they would lose weight too? Better be careful!!

I will admit that if you look hard enough, you can find video of early MonaVie meetings where attendees were asked to share how the product helped them. I can see where this got them into trouble. Want to know the funny thing, though? Based on my experience with the MonaVie product so far, and the stories I've been told by people who are drinking MonaVie, I believe ALL of the stories!!

As for all of this being "MonaVie culture", do you ever wonder why and how all of this could get started?? It all started because the product actually helps people and they want to share their experience, that's how this business works. It did for them what they are telling you it did! It may be hard to believe that a product could have such a profound effect on people Ty, but it's true. Drink it, Feel it, Share it.

Unfortunately, there are always some distributors who don't know any better and will take the information and perhaps distort the truth to grow their business. Or perhaps that was how the info was relayed to them, and that's too bad. What I can tell you is that Dallin, Randy, Henry, Brig, Steve and the rest of the leaders of this company don't go around telling distributors to spread fairy tales about how the product cured people. So except for a select few, most of what you hear is true Ty.

Steve,

The problem is the not the "ignorant MonaVie Distributor", it's the culture. It's not like we haven't heard this stuff before. And if you are a leader in network marketing, you and I both know that this stuff doesn't magically filter up from the bottom of the tree.

Culture is created from the top down. This is nothing new for Monavie:
