What’s your Social Media Marketing Strategy?
Posted on 28. Feb, 2010 by Dan Mitchell.
I just unleashed 7 of my most closely guarded Internet Marketing files for the first time. Download Ty Tribble's MLM Web Secrets. It's my free gift to you for visiting.
Tealeaf has released the results of their 5th annual survey of online consumer behavior conducted by Harris Interactive.
The results are telling:
48% of U.S. online adults say that they are now conducting more online transactions than they did in the past given the current economic climate.
12% of online adults who encountered issues said they shared those experiences via blogs or social networks, twice as many as in 2008.
Further, the survey reveals that these shared experiences are highly influential and should therefore be a real business concern. More than half (54%) of all online adults said social media content has influenced their online transactions, with 82% of those reporting that social media has influenced their choice of vendor.
That's right...more than half of all online transactions are influenced by social media content.

Jonathan Budd Internet Strategies: For Real or Scam?
Posted on 25. Feb, 2010 by Ty Tribble.
Jonathan Budd has sprung on to the Network Marketing - Internet Marketing scene nearly as fast as Ann Sieg did a few years ago and interesting enough, they both did it pretty much the same way...Network Marketing with Google Pay Per Click.
You can't do a Google search for any company or MLM leader without also finding an ad for Online MLM Secrets.
In fact, search for "Ty Tribble" and you will find one of his ads.
So what do I think of this Internet Marketing "boy wonder"?
I am pretty amazed at what he has put together at such a young age.
Everywhere I look in the industry, it seems to lead to:
"Hello, my friends, Jonathan Budd coming at ya.."
I am so proud of what Jonathan has done and highly recommend checking out his Jonathan Budd - Online MLM Secrets Bootcamp (it's free). The kid is the real deal and you can learn a lot from him.
I love it when good content is given away for free. His stuff is in that category.

If I Only Had $100 Per Month To Market My Business, I Would…
Posted on 24. Feb, 2010 by Ty Tribble.
Here is a recent MLM Forum question:
I have worked my warm market and now I am looking to market outside the warm market. I have a budget of $100 a month to spend on my business. I am looking for the best way to reach people that I don't know. What is the best way to invest that $100 a month in my business? I am starting new with little experience and looking for some advice. Thanks!
Here is my short answer:
- Buy and read the book "Crush It
"
- Buy Web Hosting for your own Wordpress Blog
- Buy an Autoresponder like Aweber or iContact
- Apply what is said in the book to your Blog and Autopresponder
- Work your butt off.
I should also add that this doesn't mean I think it is a good idea to ignore the warm market. I am a big believer in multiple streams of leads. Warm, Cold, Internet, Calling Professionals, Referrals, etc.
The most important pieces of the puzzle are consistency and relationships.

5 Vital Wordpress Plugins For Your MLM Blog
Posted on 18. Feb, 2010 by Ty Tribble.
I don't think it is any secret that you have got to find a way to "get yourself online". You need a marketing home base for your MLM business and a Wordpress blog is the perfect solution.
If you are completely lost when it comes to creating and running an effective Wordpress blog, hang tight, help is on the way...(yes that is a big hint about something coming in the near future from some big names.)
But, if you have a Wordpress blog up and running, you might be a little lost when it comes to Plug Ins, those cool little apps that help your blog run smoother, get more traffic and create better SEO.
It used to be a big pain the rear to find and FTP these plugins into your blog, but today it is much easier, you simply go to "Plugins" in your side panel and click "Add New".
Here is a list of 5 Vital Wordpress Plugins for your MLM Blog:
1. All In One SEO Pack - Search engines like blogs in the first place, but you can give your blog some super powers by adding a Title, Meta Description and Meta to every post you make.
2. Akismet - This plugin comes preloaded on your blog, but you will need to activate and that takes a Wordpress.com API. No biggie, just follow the instructions and this plug in will take care of your blog spam.
3. TweetMeme - Connect your blog to Twitter, allowing your readers to easily retweet your blog posts.
4. Contextual Related Posts - You want to keep people on your blog for as long as possible and this plug in displays posts that are related to the content of the post they are reading.
5. What Would Seth Godin Do? - Allows you to post messages directed at your new visitors, you can ask them to "friend you" on Facebook, follow you on Twitter or subscribe to your RSS feed or newsletter.
Didn't think I would leave you hanging without a bonus did you?
This one is a bit experimental, but it could be huge in the long run...
SMS Text Message - This plugin lets you collect cell phone numbers from your readers so that you can send them a text message on occasion, alerting them to exciting breaking news or special offers.

Blogging, Network Marketing and the FTC
Posted on 16. Feb, 2010 by Dan Mitchell.
I noticed a good article today on Law.com from the New York Law Journal about the Federal Trade Commission and their view of endorsements and testimonials on blogs. If you're a network marketer with a blog this will interest you...
Here's an excerpt:
However, now assume the consumer joins a network marketing program under which she periodically receives various products about which she can write reviews if she wants to. If she receives a free bag of the dog food through this program, her positive review would be considered an endorsement. That is because, in this fact pattern, there is an ongoing relationship between the consumer and a network marketing program, and economic gain by the consumer based on the stream of products, which makes the blog posting an endorsement within the meaning of the guidance.

Thank you to all of the readers and commenters.

Facebook overtakes Google as #1 Traffic Source
Posted on 15. Feb, 2010 by Dan Mitchell.
There's an interesting article in the San Francisco Chronicle today about how social media sites are overtaking search engines as the number one traffic source on the internet.
Here's an excerpt:
David Berkowitz, director of emerging media and client strategy for the digital marketing firm 360i of New York, said the importance of search engines isn't going away.
"But there's always been one downside to search," he said. "Consumers only spend about 5 percent of their time online searching and the other 95 percent of the time at the destination. Social media is quickly accounting for a large percentage of that 95 percent. Google's biggest acquisitions, DoubleClick and YouTube, have been all about playing a big role in the rest of consumers' Web usage."
He noted that last week Google purchased San Francisco's Aardvark, a social-media search engine for questions and answers, and then unveiled Google Buzz, which allows Gmail users to post updates, videos, photos and links, Facebook-style.
"Mobile will be another new source for search, and some of that will be incremental rather than cannibalistic," he said.
"But social media's just finding its feet and the business models are just starting to emerge. And they're evolving quickly."
As a professional network marketer, how to leverage the social web should be one of your top priorities in 2010. Kick start your efforts with Ty Tribble's MLM Web Secrets.
