A few weeks ago we told you about a new lead company we'd never heard about called SignupFuel. You can read the original post on the MLM Blog.

Yesterday the MLM Blog received an email from someone who tried out their service and purchased some leads or what they call Sign Ups.

Here's what he had to say about the company:

"Hope your good and well. Just thought I would send you a email to let you know I purchased 100 leads through the signup fuel company over 2 weeks ago. I still have not received any leads I have emailed them 3 times and have had no response. You may want to post on your MLM blog about it being a scam to protect people from being ripped off like I was."

Since receiving the email I've taken a second look at the SignupFuel website. A quick domain look up (domaintools.com) reveals they registered the domain in January of 2009 so they haven't been around for long. This is not a good sign when it comes to lead companies.

A good rule of thumb is NEVER buy leads from a company that doesn't have a phone number on their site.

I'd be interested in hearing more about both good and bad experiences with lead companies. Let us know…
