In the two years since I resigned from Quixtar, I have talked to hundreds of current and former Quixtar IBO’s. Some of them have become vocal critics of Quixtar and Network Marketing in general and others are still 100% pro Quixtar.

Standard teaching within the Quixtar ranks is that the folks that quit and become critics are:

  • jerks
  • dream-stealers
  • broke losers
  • communists
  • enemies of freedom
  • uneducated
  • narrow-minded
  • un-creative
  • sad people with no lives

The Quixtar IBO’s are partially right. Some people that quit Quixtar are losers, but no more than any other cross section of the world. Some are broke, but not any more broke than the average Quixtar IBO. Some are enemies of freedom, but so are most democrats (yuk- yuk). Some just want to be a-holes, but no more than you would find if you put ten people together in any forum, on line or off.

Not all quitters and critics are losers, but some probably are.

I am a critic myself, but I try to be a critic with an open mind. I believe that the author of Quixtar Blog is the same way. Yes, his site is critical of Quixtar at times, but he also praises Quixtar when he sees something good.

The difference I see is honesty. If you are an honest person, interested in a meaningful dialogue you will have give and take. If you want to be a dishonest a-hole, you can do that too, but don’t expect to be taken seriously, especially by someone who is programmed to ignore what you say because you follow the M.O. to the letter.
