Creating blog content has been my #1 source for generating leads online since 2003.
It’s a simple process:
- Create a piece of content – could be a blog post, video, audio or even a picture.
- Post the content on your blog
- Collect leads
I recently took the time to diagram out the process showing where traffic comes from and how the leads flow into your email autoresponder. All of this assumes that you have a blog set up for Internet Marketing.

Once you have your blog all set, you simply need to post content, then link back to your content on Social Media. Over time, search engines will recognize your content and send traffic your way (in my diagram it looks like Google is raining traffic on the content).
The diagram shows that additional traffic can be created through videos and maybe even a podcast.
As traffic increases, readers will begin to opt in to your lead capture elements. IMBlogTheme has a built in Pop-up feature that will probably be your highest converting lead capture element.
As readers opt in to your email list, you will be able to send them email updates and offers via your email autoresponder. I am using the email autoresponder from NPNBuilder, it comes with any product suite and as low as $17.
