Neither candidate in the Georgia House District 136 race has political experience, but both say their personal experience more than qualifies them for the job.

The race pits Democrat Beth Perera against Republican Tony Sellier.

Perera says she is well-rounded in education and experience. She graduated from The State University of New York in Plattsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in computer programming. She was married to a man in the Air Force, has lived in several states and has two daughters. She has become an independent executive sales director with The Pampered Chef selling kitchen tools.
