My question is…
How long can Quixtar attorney’s force people to stay with a company that is in such chaos?
Update: The MonaVie suit appears to be a "motion to comply" with a subpeona, not an actual lawsuit. No update on the Brig Hart portion.
I'm not sure that Quixtar is actually suing MonaVie in the way that we all think they would. This is the information floating around on the blogosphere: They are just demanding MonaVie hand over LOS information, and going through the legal system because they can. It's a "motion to compel" related to a lawsuit they have against Hart and now they want to see how Hart has organized his LOS through MonaVie. If it's similar to the way it was when Hart was with Quixtar, and the timing of signing people up is questionable, they might have a case against him regarding the LOS/non-compete issues. But that would be up to the judge to decide.
It is interesting that they have decided to demand this information from MonaVie right after Woodward's announcement. Maybe their showing their teeth to Woodward et al., making an example out of Hart, if it even goes their way.
Also, regarding your question at the end, Ty, I don't think Quixtar is trying to force people to stay. The bottom line is that MonaVie is competition for Quixtar. And TEAM or Hart, or anyone else for that matter, building a huge MonaVie distribution team is only going to take away from Quixtar sales. They always revert back to the decision to terminate Woodward as "protecting thier IBO's" who are building the business appropriately.
The last thing they want to see is Woodward organize another competing organization and succeed at it. This would definitely hurt Quixtar IBO's and the Quixtar business in general. If they can stop that from happening, they will.

I resigned from Quixtar, solicit NOBODY, wait the 6 month no-compete out, and they still claim they own me. Being a christian man, I'll not say what first comes to mind about Quixtar. They are truly a vendictive, selfish, going to hell in a handbasket organization that should be ashamed of themselves. They're willing to ruin peoples lives so a few can have peace of mind…… Go to hell Quixtar!

First and foremost, MonaVie is NOT a competing business as far as the rules are concerned. Quixtar/Amway does NOT market a product "like" or "similar to" MonaVie's. They are completely different products! Quixtar/Amway "may" try to claim that their Nutrilite line is similar, but the problem is that Nutrilite is a "nutricutical" line, specifically vitamins and minirals as well as some natural suppliments. MonaVie is, well, "fruit juice"!

Pretty bold statement here. first, I think I want to agree with you "in principal" on this part. Yes, building a huge MonaVie business "could" take away from Quixtar/Amway, but that is a REALLY big "could". Again, MonaVie is NOT direct competition! The biggest problem with the statement though, is that you are attempting to permanently tie this issue to Team, Hart, or any other former Q/A distributor who decides to build a MonaVie business. The thing you need to remember is that while Q/A "may" have a claim to keep you from competing for six months, this is still a free country and a free market. No one can completely stop you from being in direct competition with another company so long as you are within the law. This is called anti-monopolies laws.
One other thing that is of high importance in all of this, and Q/A keeps getting slapped in the face by the courts on this one, is that while Q/A's anti-raiding clause does prevent you from "prospecting" your entire LOS directly or prospecting a cross line LOS, it does not and can not keep you from talking with those whome you have personally sponsored. Remember, one of the things that Q/A keeps screaming about is having a "pre-existing" relationship with someone you sponsor… they have used this argument when dealing with "stacking" issues. Well, the same thing protects an individual from abuse of the rules… and it is even spelled out in the compendium. You are prohibited from prospected any IBO that is not personally sponsored by "you"… BUT you CAN talk to those who were personally sponsored by YOU! You had a relationaship with them PRIOR to them being an IBO, and thus Q/A cannot claim that without them you would not have that relationship (this is where they get the "intellectual property claim from for the LOS structure).

Last point… You are WAY off on this one! Just do the research. Not acknowledging resignations, renewing people without knowledge or consent (even without charging for the renewal), extending the 6 month wait, and on and on. Q/A is downright affraid of what is to come. Rich and Jay built a business based on good morals and a fair system (yes, they made mistakes too), all on the sweat of their backs… they actually worked the field. Now the kids come in… spoon fed, lifestyle handed to them, NEVER had to actually "build" this business, and they got greedy! A simple review of the last few years alone will give you all of the details you need to come to the same conclusiopns. Q/A is on a self directed death march. I cannot personally make a comment as to why this is happenning, but I "do" have an opinion as to why (which is not what should be shared in a public forum!).

I don't think I was "way off" or misinformed on any of the issues I brought up. The hard thing with this whole debate is that it is based on 1.)people's own personal experiences and 2.) issues that are highly legislative and need to be decided on in court. I don't presume to be an expert in either of these fields, of course. I don't think anybody is.
I take everything you say, nod, and think to myself, "this is all just still perception". I talk to people "in the business" on almost a daily basis and am truly amazed that we can have access to the exact same information and still have such a range of opinions and outlooks. It can actually get down right frustrating.
So, as far as MonaVie being competition for Quixtar, of course they are! From a "business opportunity" perspective, if you were signing up under TEAM, or whomever, with Quixtar before, you aren't now. Now you are going somewhere else. Less for Quixtar, more for MonaVie. If you want to compare actual products, I think that will vary greatly from person to person. I'm thinking not many people will supplement their Nutralite products with MonaVie juice, or vice versa. OBVIOUSLY, they are targeting the same audience and would love to be the leader in their product area (health and wellness industry). It's either going to be one, or the other. Again, less for Quixtar, more for MonaVie – in essence, competition.
Funny I'd come across a Scott Larsen comment. A person who spoke so poorly and Foul mouthed about some one wife on his website " Being a christian man, I'll not say what first comes to mind about Quixtar." That person (woodward) had to shut him up in court. PLease do not let this person post here he's against all of our business and has been for years I just wish he'd take his own advise on were to go.

just so you know, Rodney Howard Brown does not take a dime from the church. Since he started in Monavie and was able to make enough money form that business he was able to give his salery back to the church. As for having millions of dollars in their pockets, who cares? You have more money in your pocket then someone else, does that give them the right to be mad at you?
