According to the IBOAI web site, the high level IBO leaders (known as Diamonds) had no idea that the company was changing it’s name back to Amway (from the IBOAI web site):

It looks (to me) like more of these IBOAI leaders should spend a couple of minutes a day reading the MLM Blog. I predicted that Amway was coming back over 6 months ago.
According to the Better Business Bureau, Jeff Paul Systems has earned an unsatisfactory record based on more than a half dozen categories. Because all their recent correspondence with the company came back marked "Return to Sender", they are now referring cases to the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division.
Hmmm…at least SOME of them had a clue. I remember Larry and some of the LTD diamonds "pre-announcing" the name change as far back as Spring Leadership '07.
How would you know amway system doesnt work? Have you tried doing it? Just because you read stuff on the internet doesnt make it true.

That is my experience.
I love it. I gave up on the Amway business when I had bumped into a guy on the street who commented on my BWW(Britt World Wide) knit polo. He informed me that Bill Britt and Paul Miller were having trouble with their marriages. Fast forward to last year and I login to my quixtar account to discover I am now a part of Winters Marketing. Wait, what happened to my upline diamonds, Kent and Jackie Allen. Well, I googled them and found nothing. Beyond that, the only money to be made is from the books and tapes and, of course, you don't really see any of this money until after you reach Emerald and above. Oh, and if you choose not to follow the BWW system then you make no money at all. Just go on to youtube.com and search for amway diamonds. Doug Wead has left Amway and gone to xango. Art Leisure left Amway and is now selling insurance. Yes, he's on youtube as well. Oh, and the list doesn't stop there.
What about the new rules and regulations that "prohibit" IBO's from engaging in any other network marketing businesses? Wait, I'm supposed to be an Independent agent. What gives Amway the right to tell me what business I can an cannot partner with.
Ok, and the final straw was the 20/20 expose on Amway/Quixtar. That one was the final straw. I'm much happier now and much wealthier since leaving Amway. Amway destroys. It destroys marriages. It destroys families and it destroys lives. Amway doesn't save. It kills.
