A city councilwoman in the UK was caught reading an Avon catalogue during a council meeting…

blackpooltoday:

"My source has said that during the meeting she spent around 15 to 20
minutes reading the catalogue and making up an order form of items.

"I
cannot believe that someone could blatantly sit there through a council
meeting ordering her next colour of nail varnish from a catalogue!"

Coun
Benson, who represents Greenlands ward, was photographed at last
Wednesday’s full meeting of the council by an unnamed prospective
Conservative local election candidate.

But she today denied missing any of the debate and said she only looked through the brochure during breaks in the proceedings.

Coun
Benson said: "I was reading it, but it was either at the beginning of
the meeting or during one of the breaks. I was just flicking through.

"Of course I’m interested in what is happening in my town."
