Utah Network Marketing company, USANA was ordered to pay convicted felon and critic, Barry Minkow $142,510 after U.S. District Judge Tena Campbell ruled on March 3
that USANA violated California’s anti-SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against
Public Participation) law.

Salt Lake City federal Magistrate Samuel Alba ordered
USANA to pay $142,510 in attorney fees to Minkow and his Fraud
Discovery Institute.

USANA has dropped charges of defamation but still has a charge of securities manipulation pending.

Barry Minkow served eight years in prison for stock fraud before (ironically) founding his Fraud Discovery Institute.
