A huge buzzword in the Network Marketing "juice world" is ORAC value. ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. Some of these companies claim that they have ORAC values of 90,000 plus, however they are not telling you that 90,000 plus is the amount in the entire bottle, not per serving. USDA scientists report that the average American takes in 1,200-1,500 ORAC, while experts say the body needs 3,000-5,000 units daily in order to get meaningful anti-oxidant protection.

Here is a breakdown of ORAC values:

Tomato Juice: 128 ORAC per oz.
Orange Juice: 223 ORAC per oz.
Cranberry Juice: 328 ORAC per oz.
Noni Juice: 427 ORAC per oz.
Mangosteen Juice: 627 ORAC per oz.
Ageless Xtra from Univera LifeSciences: 4,500 ORAC per oz. of conentrate

Interesting, but not surprising, Monavie associates claims to have the highest level of ORAC on the planet, but I couldn’t find a single test showing how much ORAC Monavie contains.
