USANA Health Sciences Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - USANA Health Sciences Inc. (USNA: News ) reported that its third quarter net earnings were $7.9 million or $0.51 per share, compared with $8.1 million or $0.50 per share in same quarter last year.
The company's quarterly net sales improved to $110.8 million, from $107.2 million in the year-ago quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.50 per share on revenues of $110.06 million. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Does USANA Have 30,000 Distributors Illegally Operating in China?

I just read a press release that claims that 30,000 USANA distributors are operating illegally in China.
The report comes from "Fraud Investigator" turned and convicted felon, Barry Minkow so I would usually be very skeptical, but there is an undercover video that shows USANA's Distributor Services Director, Lesley Law telling two prospects about the numbers in China. Law is shown wearing a USANA polo shirt.
Other "reports" from Minkow have been shaky at best.
However, the Chinese market has only recently opened to a handful of companies and this type of alleged illegal activity could be a major blow to the future of Network Marketing in China.

The Latest Barry Minkow USANA Attack

AN DIEGO/EWORLDWIRE/May 22, 2007 --- When Brian Mohr, owner of Nutrimart Nutrition - a retail vitamin store in San Diego, California - first received a letter from Usana Health Sciences Inc. (NASDAQ: USNA) demanding that he contact Barry Minkow, co-founder of the Fraud Discovery Institute (FDI), and immediately insist that Minkow remove the YouTube video which compared the prices of Nutrimart's products to the Usana Health Pak 100 (TM), he was shocked. "Usana told me that my employee misrepresented to the public that the daily vitamin packs that we sell for substantially less than Usana's products were really not comparable at all because our products, although less expensive, were inferior," said Mohr.
