If you have been around the Network Marketing profession for any length of time, you’ve probably heard the following statement:
“It’s the best time ever to build this business.”
Typically, when I hear that, my hype meter goes off because it always seems to actually be the worst time ever for that particular company.
I mean, is it really the best time ever for a company shortly after they are hit with a massive lawsuit or when one of their top charismatic leaders leaves for another company? Probably not.
But I am here to pronounce today, that it is actually the best time ever to build a Network Marketing business.
4 Reasons Why Today Is The Best Time Ever For Network Marketing
1. Ding-dong, the wicked phone is dead. I would bet that “fear of the phone” held back millions of people from reaching their potential in the Network Marketing profession. But today, there is no reason to be afraid of the phone and really no reason to make a cold call, even to your warm market when a quick text is way more effective. People don’t answer their phones any more, so there is no reason to try to overcome the fear of making calls. Don’t get me wrong, I still use the phone and web meetings to talk with people, but only after the ice has been broken. However, the phone call is never my first touch with a potential business partner or customer.
2. Social Media has made the world a lot smaller. Right now, I could make a post on Facebook and promote that post to readers in 25 different countries. The world is quite literally at your fingertips.
3. Search (both Search Engines and Social Media Search) allows you to zero in on laser targeted niche markets that align perfectly with your product or service. Selling is easy if you have something that people really want, need or desire. Selling ice cubes to Eskimos is difficult. Selling ice cubes to someone at a tropical resort who wants their cocktail to be cold is rather easy.
4. You can truly be home based if you want to. For years, people in Network Marketing would talk about being in a home based business and then they would leave their home every night to do meetings at other people’s homes. Today with webinars and online meetings, it is truly possible to work from home in Network Marketing. Having said that, I still choose to meet someone face to face when feasible. There is magic in looking into a person’s eyes and listening to their dreams and goals.

Completely agree! It is amazing what we have at our fingertips now. Social Media has allowed us access to people all over the world that we never would have had access to otherwise. Technology has opened up so many doors for building an amazing network marketing business! 🙂
The industry is definitely changing, because of the internet. If anything, the internet has leveled the playing field and allowed anyone to compete. Yes, it takes a unique skill-set to do that, but you can learn and master it if you put in the time.
Throw in the crappy economy, the fact that most people are broke with no savings, and good jobs being hard to find and even harder to keep, and you can see why network marketing is so lucrative.
What is even more incredible now is that internet allows everybody even with different cultures, languages to interact together to create a better world. My native language is French but Network Marketing spirit has no nationality no limits. Love to see this kind of articles that inspire many people and gives positive mind. Thanks for that. Best regards !
Hi ! You're totally right ! Internet joined people. Now the world is smaller & closer than ever. Everything is going faster and new employments are starting to be highly considered via Internet. The revolution is now, people are able to decide working for a company or for themselve and use this beautiful tool to live, work as he / she wants and for that there is no enough price to qualify this changing life condition. Thanks for your article and may the world take the steps into it ! Because Network marketing is the futur of happiness !
Hey, awesome content. Any time I see someone post about reasons to build network marketing or a home based business I take the time to read. Awesome. Love it.
Larissa, I would like to know what you think about creating relationships with contacts in social media.
Brandon, I think it's important to build relationships with contacts through social media. I believe too many network marketers are still thinking too much about themselves and immediately leading with their business opportunity which doesn't usually work very well. It's very important to build real relationships with potential customers and prospects. As the saying goes, "People do business with people they know, like and trust". It may take years of building a relationship with someone before they become a customer or decide to join your business. If you're in the business for the long haul, it should not matter how long it takes. Even if it takes years, that is a success. Engagement with contacts using social media is a great way to start building a common bond which can lead to the relationship needed to convert someone into a customer/prospect.
