I did an article last week about and Ambit Energy customer who claimed that the company was a rip off even though she failed to pay her bill, blaming the company for turning off her service for non-payment.
Today, I found another article about a Dallas woman who claims that an Ambit Energy rep robbed her. It’s pretty much a “she said, he said” story because the guy denies any wrongdoing, but what I found to be really interesting was an Ambit Energy rule.
The rule states:
“Ambit Energy independent consultants are prohibited from door-to-door marketing and only offer our service to people they know. No one should let anyone claiming to be an Ambit consultant in their home if they do not already have a a personal relationship with that person.”
Isn’t it ironic that Network Marketing companies have a (bad) reputation for being “door to door” sales, yet a company like Ambit has a rule against going door to door?

Wow, the average marketer has a warm market of 200-300 people and that is an abysmally small number to base a business on. If I were in ambit energy I would demand that rule be changed or I would be jumping ship.
Interesting that the salesman is now at fault , even though the bill wasn't paid, simply due to some strange company wording. Due diligence is critical before signing up and running a business then finding out you have huge shackles on growth. I would discuss a move to a more lucrative opportunity with my team.
