Here is an announcement from the ASD web site:
Friday, August 1st 2008 afternoon update:
Upon direction from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the District of Columbia, ASD will not be able to move funds into company accounts, or out of them. We will work to resolve this problem, and return to normal operation, as soon as we are permitted to do so.
ASD Management.
My take: I am sad to say that I know (good) people who have banked on this company as the key to their future. My guess is ASD is not coming back. It is a classic money moving game paying out only when more people join and pay in.
Thanks to my friend, Art Jonak for sending me the heads up.
God bless those who were looking to make ASD their business of choice.
Hi,
Not quite a classic money moving game where the payout depends on people paying. The one thing forgotten here is that you also have to advertise a website as part of your ad package purchase and you have to view a minimum number of sites on a daily basis. I think these elements make it considerable different than a classic money moving game.
To make a comment as you did you surely do not know Andy or the other folks at ASD or much about the company. It is certainly not a "classic money moving game" as you stated and further research would lend you the facts. God is blessing the ASD folks and we are so very fortunate and grateful. So are you open to post your retraction and apology in the very near future?
Well…it is certainly not a classic money moving game any longer…no one is getting paid from ASD!
We have verbal communication that things are going smoothly with the Attorney General’s office. The initial review is moving fine and that they are signing off, with just an in office inspection remaining to complete. We are told, not to worry. It appears that the company is being cleared and should be operation again by about Tuesday. This is from a very reliable contact within the company. This will further establish the credibility of ASD once it is complete. We are also told Andy is elated and thanks for the prayers from the believers, they are helping.
I believe those people automatically promoting their position that this was a "scam – and I told you so", will be eating their words soon. This is solid inside news, not rumors or speculation.
Fred,
You our someone has been publishing that same "news" around the Internet.
1. Who said it?
2. What else are they supposed to say in the home office, "Game Over"?
I for one, do not think that the U.S. Attorney General's Office works on the weekends, so I will just say…we'll watch and see.
my roommate did it. i asked her if it was a “pyramid scheme”. sounds similar but just a different methodology. she didn’t listen. LOL! people are so freakin stupid!
two lessons for dumbasses out there: 1) if you need to pay money to make money and you do it you’re a dumbass 2) if it seems too good to be true and you do it you’re a dumbass 3) if someone is telling you you’ll make ridiculous interest off of the initial principal and you buy it you’re a dumbass.
now…take this as a lesson…you will never see your money back! sigh…
by the way…some people do get all their money back plus some. usually those who brought in the most suckers. but in the end there are always more losers than winners with these schemes.
it's also possible for those of you who brought in many suckers that the DA goes after you…watch out!
Here's my thoughts on ASD
I recently signed up myself, about 3 weeks ago. And I myself, searched the internet before i joined and nothing bad at all was said about ASD. Now, like you said, its all over the net.
What I truly belive that happened is this:
ASD was growing very fast "fact" and needed more servers to handle the load. And probably was told by WebWorld (the contractors hired to install the new system) that the new system would be implemented in 2 or 3 days. Well you know how things can happen, and jobs don't get finished on time. Well this was probably the case. In the meantime, Andy was up at the Chicago Rally, recruiting new members. The funds couldn't get into the system, "with the new site being developed and the delays they were having, so many new members got into a panic situation, and started complaining and filing claims to the Attorney Gernerals office. "this is what I belive started the investigation"
What i think is going to happen this week is twofold. I was told that a similar incidence happened 6 months ago, and ASD was shut down for a day until they could show all compliancy. Now was this the Attorney General that investigated ASD 6 months ago? I don't know. But I see this week coming ahead as a similar situation. If they can show complicancy with funds, accounts, and their program. It should be an open and shut case within a small period of time. On the otherhand, if the Feds find anything, and i mean anything that is questionable, then this matter will procede to Federal Court and litigations that could range from 6 months, to 4 years.
This is my humble opinion
Here's an upddated web page and chat room i made for ASD members to communicate with each other

Steve
I really had to hold myself back from participating in the ASD system. It looked too good to be true from the outset. I listened to my heart on this one and something didn't sit quite right.
Two of my good friends have gotten involved in ASD. One of them has received approximately half their initial investment back. The other friend is a little sadder case. He went out and got a $10,000 loan @ 18% interest to buy into the "system". He just got into the system. He hasn't received any of his investment back yet. I'm guessing he's going to be hurting real soon… hopefully all you ASD'ers will have some luck and things will go back online. But from my experience (if it means anything) has tought me that with a little "sweat equity" a bit of learning on your own part you can come up with a successsful way, a niche market and a good concept that will make you decent money and give you a quality life is better than "get rich quick" schemes.
The reason- they take up all your valuable time to really get only the top few people rich. And at the end of the day… how does Independant Sales Agent For AdSurf Daily, or Quixtar Salesman look on a job application when you get sick of trying to make the program work?
Breaking News With ASD, Ad Surf Daily Inc. Conference Call RecordingsPosted in August 2nd, 2008 by Damian in Home BusinessWell, news is coming out about this issue ASD seems to be having with the US Attorney’s office in DC.
One of the leading members, Steve Watt has informed me of a some info I would like to pass on to everyone (thanks Steve).
Here’s the scoop:
ASD Legal Matter Update As you may have noticed, the ASD website indicates funds are not being allowed in or out. As we have learned this is due to a complaint and investigation by the U.S. attorney general’s office. At this time, we are unclear as to when the website will be up and what the entire situation is. In our communications with corporate officers they have reassured us that the situation is being taken addressed by their attorney immediately. The ASD attorneys are going directly and immediately to meet with the folks in Washington to tackle this issue head on. No one seems to be hiding or avoiding the issues, as we can all see by this. When a complaint is filed with the attorney general’s office, it must be investigated. Our assumption and opinion is that is may be due to the web site upgrade delays, or due to account funding delays, not due to any financial issues of the company. If you have been watching, both funding issues had been improving as promised, and the web site was almost completely operational today except for new enrollments as of today. We have been assured through 2 top officers, that we should be through this soon once they clear up the concern.
Here is a conference call for you to listen to. There will be others soon and when i get tem i will pass them down to you.

Listen to a Statement From President Andy Bowdoin:
Call 1-850-627-2206 for recorded message
ASD is a great opportunity – thanks for this hint!!!!
you will never see your money again.
it's amazing to me the psychology i observe with this…similar to stocktrading.
we have an expression in stocktrading "greedy pigs end up at the butcher"!
I heard about ASD and was tempted to get involved. I feel really bad for the people involved. I have been conned before and it's not a nice feeling. It's hard to regain trust of new MLM's. My advice – wait at least a year before jumping in.
I made the best decision in joining the company back in May 2008…….With God’s help we will get through this…..President of the company Andy will never do anything to effect his relationship with the lord…..And I think this company is a blessing…I pray for the company so that it continues to be a blessing to many members to come…..God bless.
I recently heard about ASD as well and really wanted to get involved. Thing is, it is not an MLM and that is what appealed to me. If you want to put people in fine, but don't have to to make money. If everything goes well with this investigation I may still put a little $ in and see what happens. If you wait a year for this or any MLM you stand to lose. IT is best to get in in the beginning. You could not make $10 on $500 in a year in a bank, so I view the risk as low. I have rethought the amount of $ I would put in and will put in less now due to this investigation. I do not think that any of this is due to illegal business practices and you really have to look at the people who are complaining- do they complain about everything? It seems as if the same people over and over complain, and the rest take action and do things.
I find it hard to believe that anyone with any education, much less a background in business could have taken this seriously. Never invest in anything you don't understand. The only way you could win is to be in very early in the ponzi scheme in which case you are taking money from a greater fool, which makes you a theif and therefore you deserve to lose all your money anyway. Further, whenever someone ties business to GOD, you should know it is B.S. "Have faith"… come on, God doesn't rip people off.
I think those that believe it is only a matter of time before ASD is up and running again are kidding themselves or are in denial. Computers and records were seized and frozen.
I was approached with this from a member 2 weeks ago. I got a gut feeling it was a ponzi. 1st clue was "make lots of money doing very little!" 2nd clue "I have to pay money to make money!" Clue number 3 Hype Hype Hype "This will be to advertising as Google is to web search! 3 strikes your out. I told so many friends this was a ponzi but "GREED" always gets the suckers. The sad news is that these same people will fall for the next one to come alone. I have a few rules that have saved me in life. 1st never talk health advice from someone less healthy than you. 2nd never take financial advice from someone less wealthy than you and 3rd never get into anything that is multi level marketing. These 3 things have saved me so much money over the years!
I am amazed that people can still thing Andy Bowdoin is a Christian much less a God send. The man was busted in Alabama for fraud, all his "business experience" is nothing but scams. He never was a part of 60 minute cleaners, he was busted for fraud in his cell phone business.
Even more depressing, it seems we have become a country of quick fixes, quick money, quick everything. You want to make money learn something valuable and work your tale off. There are no quick fixes. A good product, wither physical or intellectual takes time and lots of it.
People are either very stupid and do not understand how to properly evaluate this or any kind of business model and the people behind them ("he seemed nice" he’s a Christian” "i searched the internet and didn't find anything bad" is very lame business sense) OR people are so filled with greed that they chose to ignore the obvious signs of a ponzi scheme (outrageous return on investment in short period of time for doing very little if anything) OR they are both stupid and greedy. I truly hope that people who’ve paid into this are able to recoup some or all of their money back, and next time use good business sense to find legitimate income opportunities.
Excerpts from the 101 page document filed by the US Attorney’s office:
— Just prior to concocting ASD, Bowdoin was arrested in Alabama for one or more felony violations related to Fraud in Connection with the Offer and Sale of Securities by an Unregistered Agent.
— on January 1 1, 1999, in Wilcox County, Bowdain plead guilty to one count of sale of unregistered securities and was sentenced to 1 year in prison, however the sentence was suspended and he was placed on 3 years supervised probation and ordered to pay restitution of $75,000.
— from November 14, 1983, to September 14, 2007, Bowdoin was a Registered Agent ("RAM)P, resident, Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") or Director of the following defunct corporations: [lists 12 corporations]
— It does not appear that any of these corporations operates, today. It also appears that Bowdoin earned no significant income from legal employment in the twenty years prior to his commencement of ASD's operation. But, no information about Bowdoin's record of business failures and fraud accusations is contained on ASD's website.
And this is my favorite one that people would gush over, but never made any sense if you did just a casual search on the subject…
— ASD's operators and promoters assert that the President of the United States recently awarded Bowdoin a medal of distinction for Bowdoin's lifetime of success as a businessman. In reality, in June 2008, the National Republican Congressional Committee awarded Bowdoin the "Medal of Distinction" as a "marketing tool" after Bowdoin made a substantial monetary contribution to the party. Despite representations by ASD and/or its employees to the contrary, Bowdoin has never received an award from the President of the United States based on his business acumen.
This is really a sensitive issue for me. I think that most of us want to believe that companies are genuine. Andy may be a Christian, but what about the others working with him. Did he do his due diligence to ensure that they were complying within the laws.
It's sad and unfortunate to see what's happening to ASD.
My prayers are with you all.
people need to put their reality-colored glasses on with this asd deal… saying that "they were growing too fast" is just a desperate justification and excuse for being involved with this scheme.
or how about these "you don't know Andy" "Andy wouldn't effect his relationship with the lord" and other similar comments. well, i don't want to know him, and he already screwed up his relationship with the lord and anyone else that believed him. he was looking straight at you while he told bald faced lies about his business background and more. go view his intro videos and listen to what he has to say about himself… then go read the truth in black and white here:

As for Steve that mentioned about us dumbasses, it does take money to make money, ever hear of getting into a traditional business and laying out say 100,000 for a francise, well that statement you made actually makes you a dumbass cause you don't know what the hell your talking about!!!
Thomas Anderson Bowdoin. Jr.
18. Thomas Anderson Bowdoin, Jr., also known as "Andy" (hereinafter "Bowdoin"),
controls and, with others, operates ASD. Bowdoin filed or caused to be filed papers to
incorporate AdSurf Daily, in Nevada, on December 14,2006. From October 2006 through
March 2007, Bowdoin was the CEO and President of AdSurf Daily, and from March 2007 until
the filing of this Complaint, he was the CEO and President of AdSurf Daily Cash Generator.
Bowdoin has operated ASD under these two names from a former flower shop in Quincy,
Florida, and he has continued to use the same BOA Accounts to support the ASD operation.
19. Bowdoin is 74 years old. On the Internet, ASD promotes him as an astute
businessman with a long and remarkable record of successes in numerous business ventures, but
such successes are remarkably absent from his true work history. Just prior to concocting ASD,
Bowdoin was arrested in Alabama for one or more felony violations related to Fraud in
Connection with the Offer and Sale of Securities by an Unregistered Agent. Bowdoin and
several co-defendants were accused of having been promoters of a company called "Mobile
International, Inc." The Alabama defendants said they had developed a mobile telephone system
that was a cheaper alternative to the then-current cellular systems. That venture collapsed and
Bowdoin and his co-defendants were charged with having sold unregistered securities to
investors and with failing to state material facts to the investors that would have impacted the
victims' decisions to invest. In particular, Alabama officials asserted that Bowdoin instigated a
scheme by which he took money from some victims to pay off prior investors. On October 6,
1997, in Montgomery County, Bowdoin resolved this criminal matter by agreeing to enter
Pre-Trial Diversion with three years of supervised probation and pay restitution of $1 5,000.
Bowdoin completed his Pre-Trial requirements and the charges were dismissed. Furthermore, on
January 1 1, 1999, in Wilcox County, Bowdain plead guilty to one count of sale of unregistered
securities and was sentenced to 1 year in prison, however the sentence was suspended and he was
placed on 3 years supervised probation and ordered to pay restitution of $75,000.
20. A public search on the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations'
website of registered corporations revealed that from November 14, 1983, to September 14,
2007, Bowdoin was a Registered Agent ("RAM)P, resident, Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") or
Director of the following defunct corporations:
joyce,
my name is bryan so please read carefully before you write back.
i've seen these pyramid/ponzi schemes since the 1980s and fact remains if you bought into ASD you're a dumbass.
so i'm a dumbass because i'm sensible enough to realize that hard work and research are required to get a great return on my capital?
obviously you don't know what you're talking about because you got swindled by ASD. i didn't! LOL
you know i've done stocktrading for a long time and i made money at it. why? because i did the hard work and research and i had a skill.
you, on the other hand, were a "greedy pig" who just wanted a quick buck and now you're crying because you've lost your money. but you're just like any "greedy pig" on the farm. they all end up at the butcher! LOL!
My, there sure are lots and lots of opinions on ASD here, but all of the people saying 'I told you so' also make it clear they really have no idea how ASD makes and distributes the money. You are also pre-judging the outcome of the case, shame on you; ASD is innocent until proven guilty, unless I woke up in Cuba today.
I know people say its a pyramid, but it is not. People say you have to bring in lots of people, and you do not! Then they say it is not 'sustainable'. It is and I will give you a hint on how it works: if you only spend half the money you make on a day by day basis, then the OTHER half remains in your bank account, right? Only half of the money collected is paid out in daily rebates, therefore unless people stopped buying ads entirely, the system will go on continuously.
ASD will be back, again, stronger than ever.
COME ON PEOPLE…
Seriously!! you think Andy is a "christian"?
I agree with the other person. You never mix "god" and "business".Right there a red flag. How many scammers call themselves "christians"? All of them. Catholics say they are christian cause they go to church. People say say they believe in god , but never go to church and they call themselves christians. Thank god there is a lord above cause Im sure there are alot of you praying to him now.. How sad is that… this is probably the only time you have prayed to him in along time.
Let me ask.. How many were Thanking god when they were getting there fraud money in the mail before ASD shut down? I bet none of you were even thinking of god then were you?
People get a life and GET A JOB like the rest of the world.

chris still "believes in the tooth fairy"
they aren't selling "advertising packages"…in fact this company doesn't sell anything other then b.s…LOL!
i did business licensing in the 1980s and i've seen this stuff over and over again. this is a pyramid scheme plain and simple!
chris if you don't believe me you won't believe anyone else.
it amazes me the "mind control" involved with those who bought into the scam. since i traded stocks in the past for many years i'm always amazed at the mass psychology.
i've seen the same with those who buy stocks at $250 and cheerlead the stock all the way down to $1.50.
chris….you won't listen to anyone…in fact you'll keep cheerleading ASD even after you don't get your money back and they are convicted.
i've seen this all before so many times. people like chris think they know better because they really don't have the capacity to see it for what it is.
"mind control" is amazing to see!
you won't see your money back! guaranteed!
ASD is a fraud!
and like i said before "greedy pigs end up at the butcher"
by the way chris….as i learned with stocktrading….no matter how much you cheerlead ASD it won't help!
as einstein said "the universe and human stupity are infinite but i'm not sure about the former"…hahahaha
Bryan, thanks for your comments about ASD. Also, we all know people from ASD who came into the picture way down the road who were making good money. My sponsro and I are two such individuals. My sponsor and I were two who came into ASD over a year into it's launch… I was about to do my first cash out. Andy didn't stop my cash out. My sponsor joined just a few days before me. In a few short months, she was able to take funds from ASD and take her dog to a renowned veterinarian clinic who helped save her dogs life that had cancer. She stayed there for weeks on money she made from ASD. She joined ASD over a year after it started. If newer people were paying for the older people, then why was my sponsor doing so well and why was I about to take out a considerable amount of money too? I thought people in a ponzi don't get paid who came into the business way down the road? If ASD is a ponzi, then she should not have gotten her cash out.
Someone knows where are they right now ??? Because I want my money back ASAP!!!
