I got a call the other day from a Quixtar (soon to be called Amway again) IBO that was interested in using the Internet to create leads for his business.
Of course most Quixtar IBO’s are looking to create business opportunity leads but that is a good way to waste time and money. It’s an uphill battle because really, who hasn’t heard the 2-5 year financial freedom pitch?
If someone is searching online for a business opportunity, and you mention Amway, you are pretty much done at that point.
But I am always up for a challenge so I wanted to find an angle that would help this young man build his business. Even though I told him that other companies would be easier to build and more lucrative, he was set on Quixtar, so I set out to give him some free advice.
A friend who is well connected to Amway once told me that there are roughly 6 million former Amway/Quixtar IBOs in the U.S. and based on that number, one would assume that a handful of those people liked one or more of the products.
Ah ha! A niche has been found.
Former Amway/Quixtar IBO’s that liked a product or two, but their upline was a butt or they moved or for whatever reason, they stopped buying the product.
So here is what I am going to do: I am going to do a free one hour webinar that will show Quixtar IBOs how to build their business on the web by finding a product niche.
The free webinar has a limited capacity so it will be first come first served:
Register here for the free Quixtar Internet Marketing Webinar
If Quixtar needs to approve of a web site that doesn't even mention the Quixtar name…it's time you found a new company.
That is the most ridicules thing I have ever heard.
Hey, Ty. I've exchanged some emails on this topic with you before. Here's some info:
IBO's need to read the Legal Bulletins that are posted on the Quixtar website..
Top Bar: click resource center, then left bar: click Legal Bulletins.
Read #17 (IBO websites) and #26 (Search Engine Advertising).
If and when you make your websites, Quixtar needs to approve them. As far as advertising, you can't use the company name (or brands) in any of the advertising. Only your name (John Doe) and your "company name"
(John Doe Inc).
Read the bulletins for more info.
Do I still recommend IBOs go to this webinar? ABSOLUTELY! Ty knows more about monetizing an mlm business online than probably ANY Quixtar Diamond.. (at least in my opinion).
Thank you Ty for helping out ALL mlmers, not just people in YOUR downline. adios.
Haha.. no kidding, Ty. According to their legal bulletin, even a prospecting site needs to be approved. You can email a link to Quixtar's web team to a private ftp or just attach a zip file w/ the web files to an email…
I love Quixtar, the products, the great group of people that I've been able to work with…
But when you're teaching the same "go to the mall and contact your next Diamond" that was taught back in 1980 (and earlier for that matter), you're not exactly up to speed on technology.
But that's good news for people like us.
Ty, when you can make the money you make from blogging and Ann Seig's book, etc… and Mike Dillard can build a team of 15,000 strong in such a short period of time, it shows that you're on the cutting edge.
This is one of the several reasons why Quixtar's sales are flat..
Again, I love Quixtar, but they need to get with the program…
I used to be a quixtar IBO some years ago, but I quit because I just don't like doing offline mlm. I much more enjoy affiliate marketing on the internet. I liked quixtar and if they would have had a way for me to market online back then I probably would have stayed.
