A reputable source tells me that auction MLM company, Dubli will be facing a class action lawsuit to be filed some time in August from some of it’s largest distributors.
Dubli has an auction site business model with a twist…the auctions go in reverse with the price of the product going down as you bid, but you pay for credits that allow you place your bid.
However, I am being told that most of the income and revenues have come from recruiting, (if true, a classic element of a pyramid scheme).
I will post additional details as they come in.
DubLi was a weird company. When they launched their US website 18 months ago, it was hard to read because the english wasn’t “American”. It was as if it had been translated from German into english by someone who didn’t speak American too good. :-0
they kept delaying their launch, but I suspect the problem was that no one could understand what the heck you were supposed to do. There was a substantial learning curve, and I always felt that was their Achille’s heel.
That, plus the fact that it was just a “money game”. Bottome line was that you got paid for signing people up. There was no real PRODUCT–just “credits” you used to bid with.
Another one bites the dust.
I got involved in Dubli for $800 and then recruited two more BAs, after realizing Dubli was a scam I refunded the money to the people I recruited, I’m suing for $2500 through the State of Hawaii. Any advice feel free to contact me (808) 264-7114 Charlie Drayer
I’m a former BA for Dubli. I bought into the Dubli idea prior to their launch in the US and quickly found out that the “opportunity” wasn’t what it was made out to be. I decided not to renew and just use my remaining credits to bid on “stuff” with the hopes of scoring a couple of deals to offset my loss. This was 2 years ago.
In the meantime, I bought back credits from BA’s who also bought into the idea on account of my presenting the opportunity to them. I did this because I felt responsible for getting them into something that wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. On Oct. 7th, 2010, I went into my Dubli customer account and found that Dubli had removed these credits. When I submitted a “support ticket,” the reason I got for their action was this (it’s probably better described as an excuse):
Dear Business Associate,
In order to instantly develop our technical systems and improve the benefit and usability for our customers and business associates we recently revised the process of handling and storage of credit accounts for our business associates for both practical reasons and accounting obligations. As already announced, credit accounts are not maintained anymore on the DubLi.com platform but were split according to their origin. Therefore, as of October 4, 2010 all credit balances belonging to a Business Associate were transferred from the DubLi.com portal to the DubLi Network Portal.
To check and verify your credit balance, please login to your DubLi Network back office see the top-right corner for your current credit amount. If your engagement as a DubLi Business Associate has expired, in order to be eligible to use your credits you would have to renew your eBiz Kit by October 31, 2010. Your BA – back office account will be reestablished then. As the credits were sold with a discount for resale purposes only, maintaining the credit balances in the DubLi Network back office reflects better the relationship between the BA and DUBLI NETWORK LIMITED in accordance with section 3.8 and 6.3, of our Policies and Procedures. Please note that after October 31, 2010 the renewal option expires.
Thank you for your email.
Kind Regards,
Luis L.

Needless to say, this is BS. Accounting obligation? You do see what’s happening here, right? Subsequent e-mails in an attempt to get these credits back were responded to by the same person repeating essentially the same thing: “Dubli changed it’s policy and you have to pay us if you want your credits back…..” Now Dubli is just flat ignoring my e-mails.
So here’s where I’m going: CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. What Dubli has done is wrong on many levels and I’m in the first stages of firing back in a big way. I’m looking for people who feel they have wrongfully lost access to their credits due to this “accounting obligation.”
I’ve already retained legal council so I’m now looking for a show of hands to see who would be interested in joining me in this effort.
E-mail me at macsilbud@gmail.com if you’re even slightly interested. Tell me your situation or just tell me your interested. I’m just making a list. I’ll add your name but I won’t do anything without getting your approval first and…… I’ll keep you posted.
With the famous last words of Dubli, “Kind Regards.” In the meantime, I’ll look forward to hearing from you.
