Forbes magazine has recognized global health and wellness provider Mannatech, Incorporated, (Nasdaq: MTEX) as one of the top 10 best small companies in America.
In its debut on the Forbes Best 200 Small Companies list, Mannatech was ranked by the magazine as the nation’s fifth overall best small company. The list in the October 30, 2006, edition of Forbes said the companies chosen for the list represent “…Small, but growing, businesses designed to survive the ups and downs of market volatility.”
Among other criteria, Forbes defined a “small business” as a company that has performed well recently and over the past several years, with revenues between $5 million and $750 million and net profit margins greater than 5 percent with positive sales and profit growth, on average, over both the last five years and last 12 months. In another article, Forbes recently recognized Mannatech as one of five companies with strong balance sheets. Mannatech has $78 million in cash reserves.
