It seems in life we have 4 big ambitions…
- Family & Personal
- Business/Career
- Spiritual
- Philanthropic
As I work towards the ultimate goal of empowering my coaching students to live a passion-filled, fulfilling life, I find myself going back to these 4 ambitions.
If you can find a business or career that allows you to pursue your ambitions congruently in each of the four areas I listed above, you will truly be on to something great.
It’s all part of helping you see the bigger picture of what you really have your hands on with your business.
When you make $100,000 a month each and every month for the next year and your business is on a path to continue producing those same results…you would probably have a hard time spending that much money on yourself. (Although I’m quite sure many of you would like to give it a try.)
You would likely end up spending some, saving some and giving some away.
But the question is…on what?
What would you spend the money on and why?
I believe that if you are building a ship to sail the seas, you surely need a plan.
(Like I give my students who are looking to develop a successful business using the Internet.)
In addition to the plan, we need motivation.
People aren’t motivated to build a ship because of “the plans”.
We are motivated by the thought of what it will be like to sail on the open seas….with the warm breeze in our face, the dolphins following along and jumping just off the bow of the boat as it moves through the crystal blue ocean.
We are motivated by what can be, not by how it gets done.
So here is a great exercise that you can do to get you in the right frame frame of mind and focus on your business…it’s something I am stating to do with my coaching students.
As your business grows, what will you do in each of the 4 life ambition areas?
How will you begin to fulfill your life’s ambitions?
Write it down.
If you need help with the plan (the blueprint for generating leads and making money online), have a look at my personal coaching program.
I am taking on a limited number of students who want to look back on 2013 as “the year…”.

Hi Ty,
I just stumbled over your blog today. I'm in my babysteps of MLM working on the foundation. Hopefully one day I can become one of your students.
We actually went through a great exercise the other day:
As one of the first steps is goal setting, just as you explain above, we set a goal and imagined, we reached it! What is next? We achieved the second goal, and the next one and another one….. I guess you get the idea. Why do we really want the things we dream about, the things we desire?
When you've achieved your goals? What is next and why?
I believe a big part is becoming a better you and to help to make the world a better place. One step at a time!
I love your example of the building a ship! That's a great comparison. No it's not the plans – it's the freedom the ship will give you!
I look forward meeting you one day!
Sailing along the Greek coast – one of my goals!
Thank you for a great blog!
Angela
