Entrepreneur:
Although all types of people have become successful in the Internet economy, there are a few traits that many successful entrepreneurs have in common. Like other entrepreneurs, Internet entrepreneurs tend to be risk-takers. They jump at opportunities (calculated risks, not reckless gambles). If you prefer the security of a weekly paycheck, benefits and vacation days, this arena may not be the right one for you.
Many successful Internet entrepreneurs are also well-connected in the industry or have an idea how to become so. The stereotype of the geeky computer guy, all alone in a back room for days on end, doesn’t apply here. You’ll have to be able to ask the right questions of the right people to get the information you need, and you’ll need to be able to communicate all of your wonderful technological ideas to the outside world.
