I found this over at the Juice Scam blog. It’s a letter that a MonaVie rep sent to promote MonaVie. I’ve re-posted it in its entirety as it takes hype and lies to a whole new level. With a healthy dose of fear-mongering! Go Monavie!
Greetings!
Being a committed Christian standing firm on Gods word. Mormonism vs. the Christianity belief initially was never a concern with our place in Mona-vie. We had to stand firm knowing that Gods word never fails and can be used as a blueprint for our life that we live. John 10:10 tells us that: “The thief (devil; he’s a small font devil)) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to full”. – NIV.
Mona-vie is truly a God Blessed business. So you better believe that if Mona-vie is changing people’s lives physically, financially and spiritually. The enemy will do whatever he can to stop the progress, it’s his labor. Everyone who puts their hands to this business and works it will be blessed. Believing that the devil knows that his days are growing shorter, we need to understand that attacks are going to come against families spiritually, financially and physically. We do sell ourselves. We sell ourselves as Christian’s in life hoping to live by example so that our life will reflect well in the eyes of others to hopefully give the unbeliever a desire to have what we have which is Jesus Christ. We do not follow under the umbrella of Mormonism in Mona-vie, we follow under the umbrella of Christianity through R3Global. To critique otherwise would also require us to examine where we do our every day shopping.
If we apt not to take advantage of living in a capitalist society and be “religious minded”, which by the way Jesus Christ despised the “religious minded” because it was them that hung Him on the cross, then we have to look at where we shop. If we buy any product from Wal-Mart, Publix, Winn Dixie, Target or even the Dollar Store, then it would suggest that we need to look at the Christian beliefs of the founders of these mentioned companies as well. There again we need to stand on Gods word and know that what the devil intended for evil, God will make good. At the most recent R3Global conference in Orlando, there were over 200 people that gave their life to Christ. If it was only one soul saved through Mona-vie, then Mona-vie is worth the effort.
When we first got involved in Mona-vie and being so analytically minded, my goal was to tear the product and company apart and see what the hype was all about. The science behind the product was truly astonishing. Knowing that the vitamins and minerals we get in vegetables can also be obtained by a vitamin pill. There will never be a vitamin pill that will give us the necessary anti-oxidant and phyto-nutrients (phyto meaning plant derived) needed found inone serving of Mona-vie. Two servings give us the nutrient equivalence of 13 fruits a day. That is a fact. Most people believe that just eating the common fruits which are apples, bananas and oranges is enough. But after researching the fruits in Mona-vie which are not massed farmed, which contributes todepleting the nutrient value are not organic but wild. Wild is better than organic nutritionally. Our proprietary blend of fruits are from some of the most remote regions of the world that the toxic levels of pollutants has to be measured in parts per billion as compared to parts per million (ppm). That’s wild! Organic fruits and vegetables contain such a minimal difference in nutrient value as compared to wild, that most people waste their money purchasing organic as compared to regular store bought. Today we are seeing more over weight people and health issues then ever before in our history.
Which now makes the sickness business a huge money maker. We want to keep people out of the doctors office. Mona-vie can not make medical claims because as soon as we do the government wants to get their hands on the product. But with one of our new products, Pulse, we can state a medical claim. Don’t you know that the government can mess up a good thing? So lets keep their hands off. It’s not FDA approved, it’s God approved! The body was made naturally to heal itself, we just have messed it up for so long it took medical science to try to fix the mess we made of it. That’s another fact. Keep the government out of Mona-vie unless they want to initiate a great Health Care Plan and get everyone on the product. Praise God for doctors, but I knew of one doctor that actually stated he did not want his patients to get on Mona-vie because of the kick backs he was getting from the pharmaceutical companies. That’s a fact and sad.
A product generally goes from the Manufacturer to the wholesaler, to the jobber and then on to the retailer. Which ends up in our home. When I first looked at Mona-vie with a very skeptical and analytical mind and then read the reports and then did the research myself, I could not find anything bad on the product, company and their business model to market the product. What an amazing product! Finally a product that in my eyes if our government wanted to develop a health care plan they need to put everyone on Mona-vie. The sickness business, which by the way we are in the wellness business, is the only trillion dollar a year industry. Mostly generated from the pharmaceutical business which is killing 105,000 people annually. And these are medications taken as prescribed by their doctors. Amazing fact. The propriety blend in Mona-vie is what makes it so loaded with nutrients it allows our bodies to get back in balance. The acai berry has been proven to be the only food that can sustain the human body with life. It has the protein profile of an egg and contains the necessary amino acids and nutrients needed for the body to survive. No other food has ever displayed this life sustaining profile.
The product VIBE may have some health benefits, but it’s the proprietary blend that sets Mona-vie apart. Our ORAC value of the acai berry that is part of this blend stands at 1,027 when freeze dried. Any other product that claims more is not factual with their harvesting practices, if you can find out how it is harvested. And we need to remember that the body will only assimilate so much in one serving and the rest will end up in our septic system. A solid pill form vitamin only has the absorption rate of 17-20% into our body. That’s one reason after taking a multi-vitamin our urine is so yellow in color. We own the patent process to harvesting our acai berry. That is big. Companies jumped on the band wagon with the acai berry after discovering the amazing super food that it is. Put the acai berry freeze dried to keep its high pure ORAC value with 18 other wild exotic fruits and you have a nutritional product that no one can touch. Mona-vie went under years of research before being marketed. This gave the company an infrastructure scientifically, medically and in leadership that no one can touch. We had a Medical Advisory Board in place and the scientific research to back our product before the company was ever introduced to the general public. As a Christian one area of the company that intrigued us was knowing that before the company was rolled out, they had their eye’s on people. Before they made their first dollar the M.O.R.E. Project was being introduced. Mona-vie Operation Rescue. Getting kids off of the streets, teaching trades, feeding people and giving people hope that the enemy wanted to keep them from.. Key Note: People can mess up a good thing. On the Oprah Winfrey show Dr. Nicholas Perricone stated that the number one “super food” is the acai berry. Dr. Perricone has revealed the secrets of youthful, perfect skin and is known as the Dr. of the Inflammation Theory. Ever wonder why the Brazilian’s have such beautiful skin? They live near the equator where you would expect their skin to appear more aged. It’s because their consumption of the acai berry almost in their every day diet in pure form. Their disease rate is low and life long. People have taken the fact that Dr. Nicholas Perricone stated that the acai berry is a “super food” on the Oprah Winfrey show, mixed her name with it as someone who endorsed the product, which has led to controversary. We can not control what people say and if anyone follows Oprah to any degree knows that she has a cult like following.. You can YouTube Oprah and witness her stating that Jesus Christ can’t be the “only way to God”. She has a following of over 2 million people with this New Age belief that is totally contrary to Gods unchanging word. So whatever comes out of her mouth, unless it’s repentance, has to be taken with a discerning spirit.
Mona-vie is generating hope and health for people and a lot of money. It has blessed my family financially and we have the tax statements to prove it. You can not take a percentage of people making money based on the number of people that have been sponsored. Only 1% as stated by a recent article mathematically incorrect. The numbers would be skewed by the fact that the actual people working Mona-vie is not in any comparison to the actual number of working distributors. Business takes work. It’s a business and those that quit have lost their vision or have been poisoned by what they have found on the internet or ignorant words of another. You can search on the internet the word Christianity or Santa Claus and guaranteed to find junk from somewhere. Our lives from Mona-vie has been changed. Since our first month in the business we have never paid for a case of the product because we saw the business model and quickly got to the point where our work paid for the juice. We could not afford it in the beginning, but we had hope in Christ and Mona-vie, God did the rest.
The product works and it is going to attract “ambulance chaser” lawyers to just lay and wait for the moment that someone makes a claim that is not approved by Mona-vie. Mona-vie has more going for them than against. And one with God is a majority. Attached is a little information that we hope you can find useful. Don’t let dream stealers steal your vision. Remember, people without vision will perish. Obama stated that our country was no longer a Christian nation. We know where that lie came from. We were founder on Christian beliefs and principles and no one can ever take that away.
Mona-vie is a company worth talking about.
Blessings,

P.S. If you want to scientific facts, we can provide them.
Dan,
I do agree that this person went a little overboard here with the Christianity thing but it’s no secret that Brig Hart, R3Global and MonaVie all live by very Christian principals, which is exactly what we, as a society, are supposed to do. MonaVie is doing ALL of the right things and that’s why they’ve had such incredible success in just 5 short years. EVERYONE is trying to be the “next MonaVie”, and there are some very good reasons for that.
And with all due respect, please tell us exactly where this person is lying? Certainly some of the details could be a little off but if you’d bother to do your homework on the product you’d see that this is all pretty accurate.
All you have here is someone who is absolutely passionate about the industry, the company and his/her Christian Faith. Perhaps this is why MonaVie has had so much success…distributors who are passionate about Christ, the product and helping people! It’s not ALL about the money.
BTW Dan…MonaVie has no reason to “hype” the product with any lies or exaggeration. The testimonials are ALL real.
Dear Dan,
As a fan and full-time professional in the industry for a long time – and now executive on the corporate side in an mlm company I am saddened to see your post tonight.
While I am not with Monavie, I have been around the industry long enough to know that distributors in every company across the industry sometimes go too far in what they say – and more often times than not, it isn’t a representation, nor should it be taken as one, in any way of the company’s overall stance in the marketplace.
I have been reading and enjoying this blog for a long time for the news and articles it relays – and tonight’s the first time I felt disgusted by something I’ve read on here. Anyone reading this could do a search on the internet and find inappropriate things being said by independent distributors of every company in the industry.
As a proponent of the industry I’m surprised tonight to see you post this and hope that you would take some time to reflect on exactly what you’re trying to accomplish.
A fan of the industry such as yourself, I would believe would always find the best and most relevant things to report on – not the minorities and lesser representations of any company – let along individual distributors.
If anyone else agrees, please share your same thoughts.
Again, I am not a member of the company this individual represented – nor have ever been. I’ve been a professional in the industry full-time for many years and now hold an executive position with an industry leading company.
I wish the best for everyone.
Sincerely,
John
“It’s not FDA approved, it’s God approved!” I’m pretty sure that’s hype.
I do, however, respect both the letter writer’s passion and your passion. But…as Ben Franklin said “If passion drives you, let reason hold the reins.”
I find it fascinating that people who call out Dan and the MLM Blog for reporting “the worst” never seem to notice the hundreds of positive articles about many companies on the site.
A while back, Efusjon reps were running around saying things like:
“We are partnered with Facebook” and “Our Master Distributor Founded Skype” all while the company was raking in the cash and turning their head.
Once we reported the hype and lies behind Efusjon, all of a sudden the company got religious about making sure the truth was told.
That begs the question: “Who got hurt?” and the answer is the people who fell for the hype and lies.
That raises the next question: If not for MLM Blog exposing the issue, would Efusjon have come clean?
Blame the thief for hurting the family reputation or blame the local newspaper who reports the story about the thief for hurting the family reputation?
Ty,
I agree that as someone who reports on the network marketing industry, just like a journalist, you are obligated to report the good and the bad. I don’t think that’s the issue here. I do agree with John in that maybe it makes some sense to really think about what you are trying to accomplish. Again, it’s obvious that this person is a Christian and is just passionate about MonaVie and the industry as a whole. Can you really fault him/her for that? Afterall, Paul Zane Pilzer calls network marketing “a holy mission”!! And if you really analyze his post, do you think it really warrants the “lies and hype” claim you’ve made? Again, I challenge you to tell me where are the lies? And do you think that anyone reading it would say “Oh…well since God approves it, it must be good”!! C’mon, let’s be realistic here. Don’t just post things because you need something to post.
As for eFusjon, everything they get they deserve because it WAS, in fact, all hype and lies! The negative press was justified because people deserve to know what is going on with the company. There is a big difference here, you have to admit, as you’re comparing one of the most successful MLMs in history so far to eFusjon, a MonaVie wannabe that won’t be around when the dust settles.
Just as well I said no to all the reps who try to recruit me for MonaVie then. It seems pretty clear here that this is a Christian only company. Personally I prefer to be in a company that accepts all colours and religions and doesn’t judge people by their prayer book.
Rachel,
It’s not a Christian only company, so let’s quit with the blanket statements please. If that were the case and Paul Zane Pilzer is calling network marketing a “holy mission”, then you are in the wrong business altogether!!
This thread really got me thinking and to me, network marketing is the best business model in the world. One of the big advantages is that it’s a business that doesn’t discriminate. On the other hand, one of the disadvantages is that it doesn’t discriminate! It just kills me that so many people, especially those in other networks, are just sitting and waiting for an opportunity to cry “foul”. They take everything you say and spin it into something entirely different, like what Rachel did above by implying that MonaVie is a “Christian only” company. Then she adds her link to her website for recruiting purposes. It’s also sad that we can’t even share a personal testimony about a product (especially MonaVie) without being called a liar, that we are only in business for the money, and that we are simply telling people what they want to hear so that we can sell the product. The one I love the best is when someone shares a story about how the product helped them (lose weight, for example) or helped someone they know, and all of a sudden they are being accused of claiming that the product can cure diseases, when in actuality all they are really saying is that it helped me or my friend with “X” so it might help you too!
The only “hype” in this thread is the title because the hype got people to read it, right Dan? And that’s the point, to grab people’s attention!! And you still haven’t pointed out exactly where this person is lying.
Steve,
Do you really want me to pick apart the post with another post showing all of the hype and lies?
There are plenty of both. Now we would probably agree that the poster does not know that she is telling lies, she is simply repeating what she has been told from the leaders at Monavie.
Here’s one:
“Our ORAC value of the acai berry that is part of this blend stands at 1,027 when freeze dried. Any other product that claims more is not factual with their harvesting practices, if you can find out how it is harvested.”
She is quoting the ORAC value of freeze dried acai, not what is really in the Monavie bottle. Monavie ORAC has been shown to be 600 to 800 per oz in multiple tests.
Let’s talk harvesting. Anyone that tells you that freeze drying is the only way to preserve Acai has an agenda to promote freeze dried acai.
Here is a question for you, how does MonaVie preserve the acai puree (for a week or more) prior to freeze drying?
Answer: Flash Freezing.
Ty,
Let’s just wait until some ignorant Eiro distributor starts making unsubstantiated claims about your product so we can blame it on the leadership and call Eiro a big scam! What comes around goes around my friend.
Steve,
The problem is the not the “ignorant MonaVie Distributor”, it’s the culture. It’s not like we haven’t heard this stuff before. And if you are a leader in network marketing, you and I both know that this stuff doesn’t magically filter up from the bottom of the tree.
Culture is created from the top down. This is nothing new for Monavie:

Coming From Utah, Home of the Nigerian Scam-able, It sounds like this person took an email they got and inserted Monavie info.
Entertaining to read but way over the top
just my thoughts
Ty,
Thanks for the link and I have to agree with Captain. Nobody can claim that their nutritional beverage or wellness product can treat, prevent or cure any condition or disease but I have every right to share my experience with my friends, family and prospects. We do it all of the time in everything we do. By the way, didn’t you post some story a few weeks back about how one of your products helped you to lose weight? Same thing Ty and I didn’t hear anyone crying foul on that, did you? Weren’t you essentially telling people that if they used your product that they would lose weight too? Better be careful!!
I will admit that if you look hard enough, you can find video of early MonaVie meetings where attendees were asked to share how the product helped them. I can see where this got them into trouble. Want to know the funny thing, though? Based on my experience with the MonaVie product so far, and the stories I’ve been told by people who are drinking MonaVie, I believe ALL of the stories!!
As for all of this being “MonaVie culture”, do you ever wonder why and how all of this could get started?? It all started because the product actually helps people and they want to share their experience, that’s how this business works. It did for them what they are telling you it did! It may be hard to believe that a product could have such a profound effect on people Ty, but it’s true. Drink it, Feel it, Share it.
Unfortunately, there are always some distributors who don’t know any better and will take the information and perhaps distort the truth to grow their business. Or perhaps that was how the info was relayed to them, and that’s too bad. What I can tell you is that Dallin, Randy, Henry, Brig, Steve and the rest of the leaders of this company don’t go around telling distributors to spread fairy tales about how the product cured people. So except for a select few, most of what you hear is true Ty.
There is a big difference between a product the helps people lose weight (proven in a measured field study by the way) and “drink Monavie…cancer no more”.
If I say, EIRO Super Antioxidant is proven to increase the antioxidant levels within your bloodstream within 60 minutes I am telling people about the EIRO clinical trial. Big difference between that and a simple Google search of “Monavie Arthritis” which yields this and more:
“Monavie is known to have helped people all over the world with a lot of diseases. In some cases they recovered completely from what they were suffering, while in others, their pain was reduced and they started feeling better.”
I was with a juice company that became very paranoid about blatant hype. But, I understand. You have got to be very careful. The company can be sued and go out of business like some nutritional companies.

I am glad to see everyone get animated about a story like this. I thouroughly enjoyed reading the responses, and had to add my own. “Foosball…its de debil!” Which is the only thing I could think of when I was reading the original hype letter.
I wish everybody the happiest and most prosperous holiday season. Namaste.
Great post! This is the exact behavior that has given our industry a very bad reputation. It makes our “job” even harder with regards to recruiting and such.
I only hope that the masses are smart enough to know that this is the view of one person and not of the company.
Jared
I agree with Jared – this type of behavior is exactly why so many turn their noses to this incredible industry.
Those who are fooled to believing this type of propaganda marketing, are not the type of people I would want on my team, anyways.
Afterall – they probably still believe “work only 10 minutes a day and make $10K a month”
Keep it real, simple and to the point.
oh G-d another Amway, thinking their father distributor is the prophet for Jesus and the company is G-d (G-d forbid) and that this company was written in the beginning of time to make sure it brings about the last day retribution. If we removed the name monavie and put the word “amway” no one would have been able to tell the difference.
Another cult.
Monavie is interesting.
I think they have probably one of the strongest brands in the nutiritional MLM sector. But they do come off very cultish.
If I was to do a nutritional again, I’d go back to Visalus, or choose between Eiro/Agel personally.
All three companies from what I seen are great, and you don’t seem a lot of that same hyped up stuff I see from Monavie and Efusjon reps.
Least not as much haha.
Great post Dan.
