The Commonwealth of Virginia is leading the charge to declare August 3 as Teleworker Day. This is a Green initiative that hopefully will reduce the carbon emissions generated by your local transportation infrastucture.
According to PC World, "Telework Day is an important opportunity to advocate telework as a
business strategy that can have a positive impact on the bottom line
and improve organization efficiency," said Jennifer Thomas Alcott,
program manager for Telework!VA. "Telework is one of the most effective
ways for people to greatly reduce their work-related carbon footprint
and demonstrate that 'work is something you do, not a place you go.'”
Green Networkers have always known that our industry – MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Sales – has been in the vanguard of the green workspace movement for years. The commute from the Master B to the home-office is relatively carbon-free.
Two weeks from today, on Telework Day, let's take it a step further – stay off the phone! Instead, invite some business friends over – upline, downline, etc. – and talk about how our industry can raise the bar even higher and contribute to a better tomorrow.

Telework Day is a great advocacy that I look forward to sharing.
