ADA — Ada Regional United Way, Inc. held this year’s kick off luncheon Thursday, Sept. 10, with East Central University John R. Hargrave, as special guest speaker.
Hargrave is no stranger to Ada. Hargrave returns to the campus of ECU where he graduated in 1977.
Following a career in law, he has returned to Ada and ECU to become the eighth president of ECU. He has expressed interest in learning about Ada Regional United Way Inc. and the agencies supported by local fund raising activities.
Hargrave has been involved with several civic programs in the past and understands and promotes community involvement and commitment. He and his wife Kay have been honored over the years for works in their community. He has a four children; Jeff, Robert, Lora and Melissa.
The luncheon was held with Pre-Paid Legal once again hosting the event.
