It’s almost as if they want you to think they are from another planet…
I was shopping at Ikea searching for a new Computer Desk when a young fellow, a couple years older than me (I’m 19) randomly came up to me and asked me a couple questions about my personal life. What is your name? What are you doing here at Ikea? Do you go to school? Work? At first, I thought maybe he was interested in me and wanted to ask me out on a date? Or the other possibility was that he was a Jehovah’s Witness or a member from my parent’s church (Baptist). I had no clue what I expected.
He started telling me how I can start making money with his business, which was a Internet Business that taught people how to run their own business using the internet. I listened to what he had to say, and I was interested to hear what the business proposition was. I started to get anxious as I noticed he wasn’t getting to the point, and I hinted to him that I was in a hurry and had to get going (I didn’t look at him while he was speaking and kept on looking over at the desks). He said he also had to go as he was also looking for a desk, but wanted to meet with me in person and would later have to give me a call. He gave me a piece of paper with his contact information and asked for my information.
