1. Diamonds are free:
The fact of the matter is they are not. In this instance I am not referring to the approximate 20 kingpins that have created enormous tool businesses. In my opinion, most of them are simply “hooked” on the power at this point. As well, it is important to point out that several of the senior diamonds have saved enough money to walk away with no financial concerns. I am referring to the bulk of the people that have ever worn a diamond pin. Some people that are critical of my telling the truth as I lived it will simply discount my statements as untrue. They will tell you that they know their diamonds and they know they are free. They will say things like, “Call them at 10am from the office and you will find them just getting out of bed.” What they fail to tell you is that the reason they are just getting out of bed is that they did not get back form showing the plan until about 3am the night before. I would suggest that they have traded a daytime job for the mid-night shift. Most of the diamonds I knew worked harder and longer at this than at their former jobs.
Haven’t you ever wondered why they sell the idea of 2-5 years and then “you can go and do whatever your heart desires”; yet they are still doing the same thing. For many, it is not out of love for the “business.” As I traveled into 20 countries speaking for these people I found that many of them resented the business. Many of their children did as well, because it robbed them of time with their parents.
Important point: They are so busy simply because they are not duplicating anything, they are replacing what they have lost. That is the constant struggle. In the mid 90’s the company said the “business” had about 7 billion dollars in retail sales. If I am not mistaken that figure, which today includes all of the Alticor business, is in the $4.5 billion range. There is no freedom or duplication when you are apparently moving backwards.
Prior to my resigning, I spent many late nights with many diamonds as we spoke openly about the fact that there is no freedom. Unfortunately most of them do not have the courage to do anything about it. Why? Because they are not free and many are afraid of losing the only income they have!
This post is one in a series of posts lifted from Bo Short’s former, Former Diamond Blog.
The 7.5 billion to 4.5 billion figure quoted, is from a recomputing and honest disclosure of reporting sales from RETAIL and actual sales AT wholesale cost, which is the true figure of for Alticor sales.
Amway and Alticor used to report the RETAIL price as their "sales", but changed to report TRUE sales at the IBO wholesale price.
Current sales for Quixtar is at 5.7 Bilion
Dave
The sales data is misleading. Amway used to report sales at "estimated retail", ie full price. Several years ago they changed to reporting actual sales. So Alticor 2004 sales of $6.4 billion is actually $8.3 billion in mid-90's terms.
You'd think a Diamond would know that wouldn't you? Was he being knowingly dishonest in this post, or just showing his ignorance?
"Current sales for Quixtar is at 5.7 Bilion"?
ummmm yeah right.
Did you get that number from Michael the "webbmentor"?
Why is it Bo's responsibility to oversee the goofy number reporting of Amway?
He stated very clearly…
"In the mid 90’s the company said the “business” had about 7 billion dollars in retail sales. If I am not mistaken that figure, which today includes all of the Alticor business, is in the $4.5 billion range."
I don't think anyone would dispute that Amway North America did more volume in a given year than Quixtar has.
5.7 billion is the published sales figure by Alticor.
I only quote official company figures.
Again, this sales figure is based not on retail price but actual wholesale price.
Dave
Dave,
Are you saying Quixtar is Amway? = )
I don't think I said Quixtar is Amway.
But, I don't deny the historical connection.
BTW, your WOM article was good stuff.
Dave
Thanks, Dave.
Your "Current sales for Quixtar is at 5.7 Bilion" was a typo?
I am confused. Either you think Quixtar is Amway (Alticor) or you think Quixtar did 5.7 Billion, or this was a mistake?
My Apologies.
5.7 Billion is the published CUMULATIVE sales of Quixtar since its inception.
About 1.5 billion in sales is the current Quixtar sales figures.
6.4 Billion is the total sales for all of Alticor, including Quixtar, Amway, and Access Business Group.
I hope this clears it up. Ya know how it is, you get on a roll typing, and you want make sure the facts are straight, and the next thing you know, you screw it up. 🙂
Dave
Ahhh…I gotcha, Dave.
That is a substantial figure. Not quite the $100 Billion that my upline was saying, but it's still a lot.
Ty,
That just blows your theory out of the water that Quixtar isn't growing..
Michael, Michael, Michael…
Where do you get this stuff? What hole do you hide your head in?
Plain and simple, Quixtar is NOT growing. This is not a theory, it is a fact.
http://mlmblog.com/2005/11/quixtar_sales_d_1.html
TY,
What year is it? Your link is referring to 2004-2005. By the looks of David's numbers compared to last year, Quixtar has actually GROWN. I know its a simple fact for even you to understand. It's like tapping on your head and saying "Hello, Mcfly" We are GROWING! The only question remains, by how much did we grow this year so far?
Ty,
Also FYI According to QUIXTAR'S own numbers,
Fiscal year 2005 was $1.058 Billion in total sales, So far we are already at $1.5 billion in total sales according to Quixtar's own numbers and we aren't even at the fiscal year end yet!
Your theory is bogus!
When I got in Amway in 1988 they bragged how every year it had grown 25 % every year since 1959! They used to have a brochure with a chart showing the growth. There are questions you have to ask about Quixtar.
1.Several million people already in .(Amway Distributors)
2.Internet available.{No more calling orders to your upline or driving out of town to pick up your products.
3.CD's,Ipods,chatrooms,phone conferences etc…..(No driving down the road with shoebox cassette player plugged into your cigarette lighter with a adapter.)
4.No more having to cover your groups orders financially.
Etc………
Why is Quixtar not growing at a higher rate or the same with all these advantages?
Michael,
I can't hold back any longer. You, my friend, are an idiot.
How many times are you going to put your foot in your mouth in my comment section?
Quixtar's volume dropped by 3% last year and there is no way in the world that Quixtar has done 1.5 Billion so far this fiscal year.
In fact, if you can prove that Quixtar has done $1.5 Billion this year to date, I will convert this blog to 100% pro Quixtar.
I will be eagerly awaiting your proof.
