Did you know that you have more freedom and independence at your job than you do with Quixtar?
6.5.4. Every IBO agrees not to Compete, directly or indirectly, with the business of the Corporation in the U.S., Canada, and all offshore markets operating under the North American Independent Business Ownership Plan during the six-month period following (a) the voluntary or involuntary resignation, non-renewal, or termination of that IBO’s independent business, or (b) any violation by the IBO of this Subsection 6.5.4., whichever is later.
Wouldn’t it make more sense for Quixtar to spend less time drafting rules to keep IBO’s from leaving and more time addressing the reasons why IBO’s are leaving?
I wouldnt call being told what time to wake up (time you gotta start work), what time to be hungry during the day (lunch break), and what time you want to stop working for the day (end of day) by your boss is 'free' by any means at all. You use one obscure rule to try to show that quixtar is less free than working at a subway?
Obscure rule?
Here's a riddle:
I sign up to own my own business "powered by Quixtar". Who's business is it?
How does the intended outcome of this "obscure" rule affect the reputation of "the largest shopping mall on the planet"? Perhaps they should adopts rules that apply to ALL Quixtar IBOs, including the dopes at the IBOAI?
