Over 1,200 women attended a direct selling recruitment drive organised by Tupperware India in Bangalore today. Tupperware is a direct selling company marketing premium food storage, preparation and serving items.
The purpose of the event was to develop new business opportunities for women and to build a community of successful business entrepreneurs in Bangalore, says a company statement.
Interacting with participants and motivating them to succeed, Ms Asha Gupta, Managing Director, Tupperware India “We are extending Tupperware’s Chain of Confidence, which is one woman helping the other to become financially independent. Our aim is to introduce and educate women about a convenient and simple way to economic empowerment which is not restricted by the barriers of educational qualifications or economic status.”
The interactive session gave information on the Tupperware brand ideology, networking techniques and product demonstrations.
It also addressed the key factors that a woman can work on to fully utilise her skills to add to the family income.
Tupperware, which has over 100 products in the India market, started its operations in the country in 1996.
The sales force in India is 55,000 strong backed by 80 distributors.
