ORLANDO — Police made a harrowing rescue Tuesday night to save a pair of kittens from the construction site of the Amway Center.
Police said a man stopped an officer on Church Street to report he heard cats meowing from somewhere inside the under-construction arena.
The officer found two kittens on top of an 8-inch metal beam about 50 feet from the ground. He had to use a lift to get up to the beam and rescue the kittens.
Police said the man who heard the kittens will find a new home for them.
