Benson, who represents Greenlands ward, was photographed at last
Wednesday’s full meeting of the council by an unnamed prospective
Conservative local election candidate.But she today denied missing any of the debate and said she only looked through the brochure during breaks in the proceedings.

Benson said: "I was reading it, but it was either at the beginning of
the meeting or during one of the breaks. I was just flicking through."Of course I’m interested in what is happening in my town."
