Ty, love the new format, I may have to use it at times. 🙂
Brother as always very well done editorial. I think you raised some fantastic points that people should take to heart!
Ty, If you look the sales from most MLM models all of the sales come from distributors auto-ship.
Ken Ellis If you are with a company where "all" of the sales volume comes from distributors autoships, you are likely in a pyramid. I don't believe that is the case for the vast majority of MLM
Ken Ellis most companies (if not all of them), require a threshold customer sales volume to even qualify for paying out commissions and bonuses. Thus, we don't get paid unless we have paying customers.
Jason Lee, That number you speak of when it's the case it's so small its laughable at best.
It’s great to see your perspective on all this Ty.
I also think that this company is all over the place with the energy drinks (which you alluded to that came later), and the vacation and shopping discounts, etc…
It’s like an internal shopping club for distributors and its appeal to those outside of the business opportunity may not be that great.
If they had focused on a single niche instead of being all over the place maybe would’ve been better in the long-term.
I’m not a huge fan of these types of shopping mlm’s and they don’t seem to do as well as the mainstream types of companies like nutritional/personal care types of companies.
Market America is from what I know is the only exception that appears to be doing quite well.
Anyway, I’m rambling on…
Another great post or vlog Ty! Keep up the great work!!

Great editorial Ty!
As a distributor in wake up now I foundd this very interesting and you had a vlid concern.
When I joined August 2013 Wake Up Now was all about saving, managing and making people people by privy to company exclusive savings and discounts.
Basically you can save on almost every aspect in your life but since Awaken Thunder came out in November 2013 the focus has been predominantly on The drink.
It does feel like their has been a product shift focus but maybe because Thunder is really good and has been extremely popular.
I am curious to see where the company is going, though, but am pretty happy with the company still.
Thanks for the review and the great info Ty!
As always very high value and high quality.

The one thing I always point out to people thinking about joining a company is to look at the company's policies and procedures (or sometimes referred to as rules and regulations). Some companies absolutely hamstring you from doing any sort of marketinng online, or at a minimum have the right to take ALL control away from the distributor. Unfortunately many people don't do their research in these documents before making a decision.
Here are WUNs policies and procedures on internet marketing: https://hub.wakeupnow.com/resources/cmsHubResources refer to section 4.2 on advertising. I took a screenshot for those that just want to jump straight to the facts. http://screencast.com/t/qE4dCy3GynyJ
