This sounds like a great initiative from Avon. Instead of Pink Cadillacs and other expensive cars MLM companies should offer scholarships to distributors children as part of their bonus programs.

From My Central Jersey:

The Avon Foundation for Women awarded Stephanie Waryn of Watchung with a 2009 President's Club scholarship. Waryn is one of 100 students to receive an annual $2,000 President's Club Scholarship. The scholarship is available to children and grandchildren of Avon independent sales representatives who are members of Avon's President's Club. Membership in Avon's President's Club is limited to top selling Representatives who maintain annual sales levels of $10,100.

Scholarship winners are chosen on a competitive basis according to criteria that includes secondary school record and recommendations, SAT or ACT scores, extra-curricular activities and community service, as well as a biographical questionnaire. The scholarship can be applied to any accredited four-year degree granting college or university in the United States.

Waryn is the daughter of Avon representative Angela Waryn. She plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in psychology.
