Multiple sources are telling me that Arbonne conducted a secret meeting with it’s ENVP’s and requested that the leaders take a cut on compensation. The sources are telling me that at least one ENVP got up and said something along the lines of "I can’t do this anymore, I have lost all belief and trust in this company".
If you were at the meeting and want to anonymously tell your story, let me know through the comments. (Use a fake name and no one but me can see your email address).
I guess ARbonne is no different then any other corporate company now. If the comp plan has their pay like that then they have to pay them. ARbonne is obviously trying to cut corners in their debt department. What next?? Is Pierre from switzerland still with arbonne. I haven’t seen him on the site?
Pierre? Do you mean Petter? The original founder? He sold off the company and then passed away rather recently.
Not Petter. Pierre from Switzerland, the guy who formulates it. Peter M is only new and he helped make the new products. Question is, is pierre still helping arbonne or is he gone too. I haven’t seen him on the corporate site.
BTW, why was Stian let go?
I am an ENVP and this is not true. I wish that everyone would let us focus on continuing to build our businesses with integrity. Any negativity in the business is a detriment to us all.
Nonsense, look at what Name said. Her ENVP told her it is true.
http://mlmblog.net/2009/10/arbonne-bankruptcy.html
I was recently told that this meeting took place in Hawaii…
Arbonne’s Bankruptcy is TODAY!!! The banks have told Arbonne they have to notify everyone who has signed up in the last 24 months about the Bankruptcy. People quit telling all of the lower ranks everything is good! This is a sinking ship and the ones at the top are sscrambling to get what they can and keep the one’s in the lower ranks in the dark! It is just like the movie Titanic, really! I was with Arbonne for 8 years and still have the ERVP title but I havent signed anyone on to the business in 2 years…I could do it and be able to sleep at night! I have taken care of my clients and that is it.
Arbonne is also showing how desperate they are, they are now asking their NVP’s to please report anyone they know who may be going to jump ship, they want to keep everyone on board and drown them on the ship!
You are a FOOL if you believe what Arbonne is telling you or you listen to the NVP’s who saying its not true, its a rumor…..that Arbonne is not filing Bankruptcy, and of course the best line of all “Guys this is the best thing that could happen to Arbonne if they do have to file” Can anyone say CULT….remember what happen to everyone who drank the kool-aid! One minute its said they are not filing and then the next sentence is ….it s a great thing. The NVP’s now people and they are desperate to keep that check coming in until they can get themselves a back up plan!
Arbonne WAS at one time the real deal….BUT when Petter passed, then Stian was asked to leave, then Candice Keefe left and started her own company ,then the biggest of all the GREED came in to play with CEO Bob Henry it is had been sinking every since.
Arbonne is NOT AND NEVER will be what it was….but it you want to keep telling yourself that it will be then, I hope you have a back up plan!
8 Years of my life and 24/7 working was spent with Arbonne and it is a shame it has become what it is. A big fat LIE.
I could NOT sign anyone on to the business anymore and be able to sleep at night.
No one ever said that Arbonne might not file for Chapter 11 which is a re-organization plan.It is a way to re-structure debt. It is NOT Chapter 7 which is the ‘shut the doors’ kind of bankruptcy filing. People need to speak with care and knowledge of their subject. People ‘in the know’, including top financial advisor NVPs have not pulled the plug, and it is not because of greed, it is because they are loyal to the company and to their teams. They are successful and earn a top income from Arbonne because they are smart and they understand what is happening. Everyone on my team was told that a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing was a possibility, and every person decided to stay and keep building their business. They are making money, and they are educated enough to understand the difference between Chapter 7 and Chapter 11. Arbonne is very profitable, and it will emerge as strong as ever. The Chapter 11, if it happens, will not affect anyone’s business or paycheck. Now let’s all get back to work. I wish everyone much success and happiness.
Nonsense, maybe you were an ostrich in your past life. They usually just bury their head in the sand and avoid the world. You can’t ignore what is going on. In chapter 11 everyone is notified. Chapter 7, doors close and that is it. Consultants are at the bottom of the priority list. You keep coming back to post and you always seem to say back to work. There are some very serious things happening and envps out there are starting to share. That is not a rumor. It is what it is and the best thing is to be clear so that ARbonne can still function.
GM did the same thing and it the end, the President of this country had to step in and kick the CEO out. Now GM is more important then us because it is the car industry. But Obama won’t be coming in to save Arbonne. Who will the buyer or banks be. The banks don’t want to hold on and they want a buyer. However, no one will buy at the price they have. They won’t it for a cheaper price. That is business.
Let the spin begin…..BANKRUPT. And you’re going to try and build a team how? Every consultant or preferred provider that signed up in the last two years is going to get a letter stating that Arbonne had to file bankruptcy…I wonder if the VP’s that were keeping it a secret are on the phone calling their people to tell them that they just found out that the company was having financial troubles…Oh, my. I wonder who I’d want to sign up with if I was considering getting into the MLM business. One that just filed bankruptcy or one that was thriving…This may be the last NTC ever so enjoy your concert. Duran, Duran, huh?
What is the personal legal liability of a consultant who registers a new consultant now, knowing the financial situation? What does it do to their personal reputation?
Candy….
Good point – and anyone with “integrity” should have had a problem with this long ago when the first red flags were popping up.
You’d think the first hint of a problem would be when the managers were feeling like the gerbil on a wheel trying to get more REsults sign-ups in each month to tread water.
Arbonne NVPs were in Hawaii last week for the annual NVP retreat. During the trip, there was a meeting held, but it is not a secret NVPs and spouses were invited to attend.
Arbonne has been very transparent with all that is transpiring thus far with the VPs and there is education and tons of materials on our website that anyone can go read instead of just stirring our pot out of jealousy or bitterness.
Candy – you should check with Arbonne compliance on this if you are a consultant instead of this source. I cannot imagine the information you will get here from people obviously interested in Arbonne’s failure to give you any truthful information.
Yes, Candy. Check with Arbonne compliance who reported on the Arbonne bankruptcy on January 27th while “this source” reported on the bankruptcy in October.
It is all very nice that Arbonne held a meeting at the retreat for the VPs but even up until the news broke yesterday I was still getting “ding-dong” emails from my DM desperately trying to get her team to bring in new consultants and product orders. Arbonne still has my email address and the ethical thing for them to have done was to just send an email blast and get it over with. I’m embarrassed BY and FOR this company and left shaking my head.
FYI, the ABC (baby) line has been removed from Arbonne’s website shopping portal (you can search for ABC and find the set, but it is backordered, and the single products are AWOL), and quite a few of the popular (read RE9) products are also “backordered.” Funny, The RESults Sets ($1194) are still available.
It is / was NOT a secret meeting!!! Good Lord ! it was the Hawaii ENVP/NVP trip that they have EVERY year and Yes they do sit in a conference room every year and discuss stuff.
Frankie read the first legal notice that made public news about the bankruptcy. I guess they never gave you a copy of this in Hawaii

I was an RVP…had the Mercedes…and the big car presentation. The month after I went RVP is when Arbonne changed. Greed entered the picture. I personally do not care what happened at this year’s NVP meeting…they will spin whatever was said to make the company sound like it is still #1. I will say that my family and I still use the Arbonne products…they are good products. Beyond that, the business is a joke. I climbed the ladder, got the car, never made much money because I was always taught to reinvest in my business, and now I am so happy to be out. I HATE network marketing. One can say that it is all about helping the team succeed…blah, blah, blah. When I was still in the orange fog I said the same thing. No…it is all about everyone getting a bigger paycheck. That is reality. There is not anything wrong with wanting to make more money for you and your family, but don’t lie and say that it is all about the team. Another thing that is a joke is “title maintenance”. That is the biggest LIE that ever existed. After I lost my RVP status I was still introduced and treated like an RVP. Title maintenance allowed me to keep my title. I wonder if any other businesses do that. Hi, yeah we are demoting you from VP to janitor but guess what the good news is…you still get to call yourself a VP! Yeah!!! Please. Losing the Arbonne “business” was the best thing that ever happened to me and my family. My spouse and I actually get to spend time with our children and we have more money now than we ever dreamed of having in Arbonne. I am nearing completion of my Ph.D., work an amazing schedule as a university professor, have been told by administration I am on my way to a real “VP” position and my spouse owns a VERY successful business. It does make me sad to see what has happened to this company and I would never wish bankruptcy or ill-will on anyone…but it is what it is. To many people in the leather chairs at Arbonne made BAD decisions and left those of us that were trying to do the business out in the storm. Arbonne forgot about the people that truly keep the business going…the consultants. Shame on them! For those of you that survived the Arbonne storm and have now moved on, best of luck to you. For those of you that are still working the business, best of luck. I hope you continue making money and that the company does not go under. I was involved when Rita still called people when they promoted to the next level, and Candace knew me by name at NTC…those days are gone. Sad, but true.
I am one of the Top 10 income earners in Arbonne and there was NOT a secret meeting in Hawaii or anywhere. We have NOT been asked to take a pay cut or have we volunteered one!! Arbonne has always functioned as a company on our earnings.
By the way, I am not going anywhere. I believe in the future of my company. Many have tried to recruit me to there company, the grass is not greener!!!
Deanna,
Then could you honestly say that you did know about the financial situation before this happened. I think many consultants feel they were lied to. Even the presentation was saying we are a debt free company. I know you have done well but don’t you think that every person has a right to know this going in. We have consultants who signed up on Jan 28th and were shocked to see Restructuring on the front page. Not everyone received an email about this and the email that was out was dated jan 29th, 2 days after the news was out. If you are high up there and you are coming to this board, then could you relate this message to Kay. Now ARbonne is lower conference fees by $30 but I think they are going to have to do a lot more to reestablish consultant and consumer confidence. Just having your own ARbonne blog is very one sided.
It’s the little people that help pay your 100,000 plus a month pay check because of the volume they bring in.
Deanna,
Has your commission check cleared?
Maybe you could donate your monthly 6 figure commission check to Haiti. That might be some good PR for ARbonne and more importantly help people in this world you need it more. In fact Deanna, why don’t you get your other 9 friends in the top 10 to do that. Each of you, donate you commission check. That would be over a million $$$ and you would be setting the bar. It would be from all the volume of everyone in ARbonne.
Guess you all couldn’t do that except go on your blog about how great ARbonne is and ignore your responsibility to the world.
Deanna,
No one said that the grass was greener elsewhere. The point is that the top income earners, including yourself, and Corporate knew restructuring was inevitable and said nothing.
Although Enron literally shut down overnight, there is not much difference between them and Arbonne. If you kept Chapter 11 Bankruptcy underwraps, then how are consultants to know if Chapter 7 is around the corner? Yes, Arbonne has lost a lot- Petter, Stian, Candy, Harvest Partners…as individual as each person was, they were replaced; however, the most important thing Arbonne lost cannot be undone- trust. In MLM, trust is everything. Without trust, one cannot sponsor and grow.
To be honest, if you had volunteered to take a paycut, that would quite possibly salvage some of the trust and relationships built within your successline. It would send the message that YOU cared about each one of their businesses enough to sacrifice for the betterment of others. But none of you will ever do something so heroic because at the end of the day, the mentality is still selfishness…which is why Arbonne is on the Titanic track…ICEBERG ahead! Your consultants and RVP’s tried to warn you. They, like myself, asked for your help. If Arbonne had remembered what their foundation was- consultants- well, I guess we will never know will we?
This is not just another hiccup, this is big. Companies like Mrs. Fields can survive a Chapter 11 because, at the end of the day, their product is still on the shelf to be purchased. Arbonne, however, depends on consultants to move product and they are scorned.
What I am interested to know is how in the world you plan on selling this to new consultants? “We used to be a debt-free company, but now we have restructured 80% of our debt so that we can continue to invest in what matters most, YOU. Nay-sayers a.k.a Dream-stealers will call it Bankruptcy, but just trust that Arbonne is doing what is best for themselves. Now, will that be a Visa or a Mastercard?”
This has been going on for a long time. I suppose Arbonne is better than Enron…at least the consultants can hear the warning siren. Unfortunately, though, for so many, it is too late.
I lost my identity when I disassociated myself with Arbonne. In fact, it took me two years to recover. I have blazed that trail, and it is ugly. I do not blame you…I feel sorry for you.
I guess Deanna is too scared to post a response. Maybe getting too busy trying to help convince her team to know that this is best thing to happen to arbonne. Perhaps she is busy on her blog saying, Arbonne rocks.
I always remember Cecelia always saying she can’t wait to give the government a million dollars in taxes owed since that would indicate she was making so many millions. Maybe her and her buddy Deanna should donate that million. Guess they are in hiding right now. They use to have these Lifestyle meetings at their house and would brag how they have this with ARbonne blah blah blah. I think it would be wise for them to act a little more humble and pay attention to their families.
Well, business is business. No matter what kind of company it is. There is nothing personal about bankruptcy, doesn’t matter what chapter you file. We are in business, which means we are on our own. Any smart business person would consider to have a minimum of three streams of income, and always have a backup plan in case any streams of income dries up. Things change constantly. Wether Arbonne emerges from the bankruptcy strong or sink as the Titanic is really of not much consequence, get a lifeboat, when there is thunder, rain is not too far away.
Ex RVP: Do you really hate Network Marketing? I am starting to have my doubts about the whole thing also. I know I can’t sponsor anyone into Arbonne right now and haven’t for over a year. Something feels very wrong in my gut. I’m worn out from working hard for not much, but even more disgusted about the women I have brought into this business who have accrued debt.
Of course Deeana needs to stay put. She got in when the gett’n was good and has an enormous residual income she is trying to protect. But what about the RVP’s, areas and Districts. We are left to clean up a horrible reputation which reeks of greed, pride, dishonesty and negligence. I am putting a fake name because I’m seriously worried that Arbonne will pull my i.d. after what I have read and believe me, I have earned my little pittance!
Ex-RVP and others,
I agree fully! Now that I am out, I feel so free. The stress on our family, financially, was crippling.
Even though we made a good income for a short time, we gave MOST of it back! Our SUPER RICH Uplines kept saying, You have to give up to go up!!!
After giving all of those years, I am so sad that I let our family down by giving away time and money to a company that NEVER TRULY CARED ABOUT US.
What they cared about was…HOW MUCH WE COULD PRODUCE.
Pride and Greed took over this company and the effects of this are showing up now.
Sadly, Arbonne will never be the company it was. If you listen to the NVPs and their 6 figure salaries, you would not know that though.
Integrity can’t be bought. They lost that and I don’t believe they are willing to become “humble” to earn it back.
I am so sad to see that new people will come on board without all fo the facts. They will drag their families finances through the mud with all of the purchases, hoping to reach for that “out of reach” goal.
For all of you reading this, I just pray that you do your research before listening to the words coming out of your Upline’s mouth.
I thought my Upline cared; but, I found out that hard way that they only cared when I was maxing out my credit cards and carrying the Coach purse and borrowing money to attend the expensive events and using my earnings to purchase the next set of new products that came out.
It was never ending.
The judgement is happening now, so the Millionaire uplines can “cheer” you on all that they want; but, they won’t be able to hide the truth.
You all deserve a company that you can trust.
From what I have seen, experienced and heard over the final 2 years before the Bankruptcy filing, Arbonne is not it.
Funny reading these comments from 2010 .. Kay Napier has turned this company around and the ones that left must be kicking themselves. Arbonne is an amazing opportunity and life changer if you work it. It’s like anything .. winners and losers.
I have used the Arbonne products since late 1990’s… I first started using the product and join to get a discount and thought I might make a business of it as well. I have went to NTC and various meetings around town to keep up from time to time. But, honestly when it comes to making money…I’ve not made much but that’s ALL my fault. I’ve not ‘worked’ the business. I dabbled in the business only when someone asked something about my face and what I used. Yip, that’ll get you excited but I never take the steps needed because I let “LIFE” get in the way of being successful at my Arbonne business. I love the product and I love the opportunity. I continue to use the product and when I get ready the business and opportunity is there for me. It’s a great place with awesome products and wonderful folks to help you – it’s work like any other JOB and if you don’t work your business it will not grow just like any other business. Come get connected with me and we can work together or you can just check out our awesome products! http://www.kittieburleson.myarbonne.com
Arbonne is a scam. There is zero culture within a company. You have to act unethically to be successful. I used to be a consultant but I quit when I noticed that my uplines are trying to recruit my prospects who they met on my Arbonne party and my consultants prospects. Fake people who pretend someone else to get attention and be admired and being successful. The Compliance Department is fully aware of unethical practices by Arbonne Consultants but covers them up so the business is run. I tried to leave a review on Arbonne site (something similar to this one) ans I was blocked. I strongly do not recommend joining Arbonne unless you have nothing to do with your money. Arbonne is a jungle of hungry lions. If you one of them, you might move up to top levels but won’t make what the company tells you you would.
