Over the last five or six years, it seems that Network Marketing companies have been hanging on to traditional meetings and corporate events with limited success.

Company event attendance today is tiny in comparison to events held in the 80’s and 90’s. I once attended a team event called “Free Enterprise Days” with over 60,000 people held in the now torn down Seattle Kingdome. This was an event put on by Amway groups, World Wide Dream Builders and Britt World Wide (not even a company event).

Even though attendance at live events was on the decline for years, I still hear company executives and leaders talk about the power of getting together in person.

And I agree.

Celebrate!

Network Marketers should get together in person to have fun, and celebrate each others success.

I still get excited and inspired when I hear about the success story of a Network Marketer.

A Product Launch Party might make sense too.

Product seminars and training can easily and effectively be done remotely.

In fact, in many cases, the remote events have proven more effective than the in-person events in reaching people.

Here is what Steve Fife, Chief Executive Officer of LifeVantage recently said:

We’ve recorded all of that (event) and not only did we – do we think we had over 20,000 that listened live, that it was also available for – I think it was 30 days or 45 days afterwards; so that they could jump back on if they missed anything and still have access to that. So, I thought our reach was much greater than we’ve had in other in-person conventions.

The Covid-19 crisis has certainly been a challenge in many ways, but as Napoleon Hill said:

Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.

Perhaps the benefit in this case is making sure that in-person MLM events are truly an effective use of time and resources.
