Over the last couple of weeks I have had a wonderful email conversation with Kim Klaver. It is amazing how much we agree on. We also have a fun time discussing our Squidoo lenses. See Kim’s Beyond Hype Lens Here. See my Network Marketing Lens Here.

For example, Kim says:

When someone markets a product or line that has made a difference in their life, it’s like someone who just got religion, and now they’re spreading it.

Some people get, well, on other people’s nerves because they won’t stop talking about it, even after someone else said ‘no thanks.’

When you’re beginning your NM product selling career, the least stress and the biggest return comes from asking for someone who might be looking for a fix like what you got from your product. If you got relief from your achy knee without surgery or drugs, you’re looking for someone else who might be looking to do that, too.

You’re not in the conversion busines, but in the shopping business – shopping for people who are the right fits, like shopping for shoes. Or like looking for a game of tennis. "I’m looking for a game of tennis. Anyone play?"

Will it be everyone? But will you get someone who likes or loves it too? And then you get a chance to play and connect, yes? At least it’s a first date.

That’s the philosophy we teach and that’s the precise language we show someone to use – as if they’re looking for someone who like them, plays tennis. Or wears the same size shoe, or recyles, or is into health.

Good stuff, huh.
