Press Release:
Health and nutrition researcher Kimberly Day
tested three of the top selling antioxidant drinks on the market to
determine if they are delivering the benefits they claim to offer.Ms. Day sent samples of MonaVie, Xango, and Thai-Go to Brunswick
Laboratories, which is a nationally recognized for their antioxidant
testing. The drinks were tested to determine their ORAC value. Oxygen
Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) is the most widely accepted method
of measuring antioxidant content in food. Results indicated that MonaVie had the lowest hydro-ORAC value
(23,323), with Xango just slightly higher at 24,480. However, Thai-Go
was nearly twice as high as either of the other two beverages tested,
coming in at 51,939. All three drinks are comparatively priced and all
are marketed as high-quality antioxidant beverages.(We can assume that the entire bottle was tested – not serving size or per oz.)
Antioxidants work to protect your body from free radical damage.
Free radicals are highly reactive forms of oxygen that are missing an
electron. When they come into contact with normal molecules, they try
to steal an electron, damaging the healthy cell and its DNA.Free radical damage has long been believed to be a risk factor of
many of the chronic diseases that accompany aging-including heart
disease, eye degeneration, memory loss, damage from UV light, and
cancer. Antioxidants, however, deactivate free radicals, preventing
them from doing damage.
Mona Vie, Xango, and Thai-Go are all good products. However there is a new key player in the industry. Make sure you do your research.

The problem with this press release is that it is not entirely accurate. What it does not tell you is the entire ORAC value of the juices tested. It only reports the hydro-orac value. It does not report the lipo-ORAC value or the ORACHO. Why? Why do you think? Another obvious attempt by someone to promote their own "juice" Thai-Go. Bad form if you ask me. Ms. Kimberly Day is no where to be found and as far as her credentials are concerned, lets see them. Anyone can say they are a health and nutritional counselor. Also, Brunswick Labs have not released any of this information. I would be very interested to see the entire test results from Brunswick Labs. Until then this press release is little more than propaganda designed to persuade you to drink Thai-Go.

orac from a broad spectrum of ingredients is best. super foods and "magic berries" cannot stand on their own. i chose vibe not only because of the 100,000 ORAC per bottle but because all of my dr's approved it and the largest hospital in louisiana listed it on my mom's release papers following surgery. most people promote these products to make money and they get tunnel vision. i am in it for the best product for my health. vibeforme.com/145055
All good products, but the greatest ORAC value contained in any product on the market today is contained in Vemma ~ @ about 114,000. First of many clinical studies planned have just been released. It will be exciting to see how all these products will impact the health of this and future generations! 2 Your Good Health! http://www.myvemma.com/2yourgoodhealth
I have read many of the MLM sites for Vibe, VEMMA, and I am a distributor for Monavie. TAll these products have good claims and I have had great results with Monavie. Monavie and Vibe have good causes that they support, but I did not see that with VEMMA. I did not like the compensation plans with Vibe and VEMMA, they are to complicated and do not pay well. Monavies plan is simple and there is no question the person at the top does not recieve all the money. I hope all will look at the benefits, the taste , the compensation, and the results. Then make a clear decision.
There sure is a lot of conflicting reports on the ORAC scores of antioxidant and energy juices and many more ways to manipulate and promote the figures. I'm pretty happy with NingXia Red and I like Young Living's comp plan.
S-ORAC Scores (per 1 ounce serving) (the “S” = “Super” – Radical Absorbance Absorbance Capacity) measures a drinks ability to neutralize the dangerous superoxide free radical. [based on kunitsSODeq/Ounce, this Data is from Brunswick Laboratories, Wareham, MA.]
Scores are based on tests during 2007 – AND – with all samples "ONE" ounce was used (not truckloads or bottle(s):
NingXia Red Juice……… 363
Vibe……………………….. 87
Ageless Xtra……………… 85
Himalayan Goji………… 68
G3…………………………. 43
Xocai……………………… 13
Xango………………………. 9
Goyin………………………. 8
ViaViente…………………… 2

Here's a link to a CBC news (Canadian) report on Goji…
http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2007/01/goji.html
Goji apparently fudged what they tell their distributors. They've told them that Goji is highest in ORAC when compared to NingXia Red… the truth… it actually takes an entire truck load of Goji to equal "one" ounce of NingXia Red. I guess not enough distributors asked Goji corporate, "how much Goji juice did you use to make this claim?"
Wow! This is REALLY interesting… the post just above this one is a comment "I" just wrote, my name is Evelyn Vincent, I typed it in the "name" field when I made my comment.
However, in the "name" field in the above comment shows up as "Eric"??????? Who's Eric, I clicked the name and I was redirected to this:

Then, this:

Let's see what happens this time. Right now, I'm seeing it with my own eyes, my name is very clearly in the name field. Let's see whose name shows up when I click on "Post"… I wonder if it will show up as posted by Evelyn Vincent… or Eric… or Joe… or ?????
Ummm…your post is always above your name.
Whenever there is an argument about ORAC value, network marketers tend to get all defensive and start doing self-promotion and fall for "my company is better than yours" game. I think it's important to remember focusing solving people's problems rather than being too caught up in this argument.

I agree. As a manufacturer of nutritional products for MLM and Retail Companies, I feel staying positive is the best policy.
Most of the products in our industry are good for us – better than not taking them.
We need to first find the product and company that we are most passionate about and then, second, focus on getting our networks established and growing. Have fun!
Tick tock…
I agree that we all need to find the product and company that we are most passionate about, and grow our networks, but I think it is also important to really do your homework on the competition so that you can bring not only personal opinions, but FACTS to the table. There are so many Distributors out there "slamming" eachother, and giving false information. The fact is, is that all of the liquid antioxidants on the market today are generally great products.
I applaud everyone in the liquid antioxidant nutrition industry. We have the privilege of offering amazing products that truly help one's health and fight against damaging effects of free radicals.
I would like to comment on the posts about ORAC Scores. I have consumed many top antioxidant supplements, and quite frankly, the higher the ORAC, the better I felt taking it, just knowing that I had that many more antioxidants fighting internally for me!
I want to introduce you to "Jus". For those who have not yet heard of it, it is the NEWEST, and not by opinion, but FACT, THE MOST POWERFUL ALL-NATURAL SUPERFOOD ANTIOXIDANT BEVERAGE ON THE PLANET, that I am so proud to consume and distribute.
Jus International (pronounced Juice) officially launches this September, and was tested along with several other top competitors on the market by Brunswick Labs Hydrophilic test on 8/13/07, and Scored as follows:
Product ORAC/OUNCE
Jus 8,687
Xango 1,010
Mona Vie 697
Tahitian Noni 525
Now, before people get defensive, stop and think outside the box. Yes, loyalty is important, and if you truly believe in your product, and as a distributor you are making great income, by all means, stick to your guns. BUT, for those open-minded, who are keeping up on the next best thing, and if you are seriously looking for THE NEWEST MONSTER that is going to take the liquid antioxidant industry by storm, I would suggest taking a peak at my page, contact me. I would love to share product and opportunity information with you!
Take a minute and check out the video clip at my website, and send me your contact info. I will get a wealth of information out to you by email/mail for free!
Live Well!
May I have the comparison of MonaVie to Ningxia Red in ORAC value? My friend doesn't believe me. Thank You.

I have to agree with Adam on this one.
I am also a Jus distributor and I can honestly say this is the best product out there. I researched for weeks on the different products and could not find a product out there even close to Jus.
With only 1 oz a day needed you get all of your FDA recommended fruits, all of the recommended color groups, vitamins, minerals, compounds and over 8,600 ORAC score.
I have personally seen this product change the quality of life in my own family and friends.
Check it out for yourself.

Start living healthy. Drink Jus.
I completely agree with cjhblessed and Shelly B – I’ve done my research on antioxidant drinks, and I know that Jus is the most powerful antioxidant drink on the planet. Nothing even gets close! If you do your research, I think you will come to the same conclusion as I have. Jus clearly has more antioxidant absorption power than any other drink on the market, and it doesn’t look like anything will be getting even close to Jus for some time. There are clear benefits that people start to notice when taking Jus. Some of the most prominent immediate health benefits are deeper sleeping, more alertness and mental clarity, better overall health, allergies disappearing entirely (such as animal allergies and seasonal allergies), etc… Some of the more significant changes that people notice from consistently taking Jus include cancer, arthritis, and diabetes either slowing, halting, reversing, and often times disappearing completely!!! I have personal friends that have seen cancer disappear, diabetes vanish, and arthritis significantly improve because of Jus! The newest addition to Jus is the ingredient resveratrol. Resveratrol is an anti-aging supplement that has been shown in studies to stop cancer from progressing. Resveratrol has many health benefits, and is just one of the many ingredients (including 23 of the world’s most powerful superfoods) that make up Jus. If you or a loved-one may be able to benefit from Jus, you can email me or another Jus distributor for information, inquiries, products, and more. If you would like to contact me, my email is JusMeUp@gmail.com | Remember, Jus is scientifically proven to be the most powerful antioxidant drink on earth!
well all i know is that drink with the acai berry as the crown jewel is number one in food and beverage out of 23 million private business’s lol top that
Jesse probably knows what he’s talking about, given that he’s quoting reputable sources and has tons of information to hand out at will. “number one in food and beverage” is quite the statement. I wonder what that means!
ORAC or S-ORAC measurement is pretty pointless when none of these products apart from one can actually be measured to show its effect in the body.
I know this is an old discussion, but I was just clicking around catching up on old threads and can’t help but throw in my 2 cents:
Why isn’t anyone here asking questions like this:
IF we must be with the best/latest/greatest product/comp plan/management team/etc, etc ….then how in the world do any of us ever create real long term residual income?
How can any of us create that kind of income in an environment where progression…scientifically and otherwise…leads to factually proven better products, comp plans, etc?
Person A starts with nutritional company X …3 months later, it is a verifiable fact that 2 other companies have launched with a better product. What should Person A do? Jump ship to the better deal/product? Ok…so what about 3 more months down the road when it happens again?
I refuse to be involved in anything cutting edge. I prefer boring and mundane. Stuff like paper clips and toothpicks…the kind of stuff people buy all the time without thinking about it, where I’m not constantly in fear of someone reinventing..the toothpick (for example). No, I’m not in Amway – and this isn’t a pitch. Just sayin.
Kristian, I’m doing the same thing in regards to reading today. lol Anyway, you are so right, anyone who keeps jumping around will not, inherently cannot, create true residual income. Find an awesome, quality company and stick with it unless you truly find something superior!
Aren’t you stuck in the same circular argument still? “Find an awesome, quality company and stick with it unless you truly find something superior!”
If any of us participate in an “opportunity” that has anything to do with technology and/or nutrition, won’t we constantly be hit with the latest greatest advancements and progression?
To me this cuts to the core question of why most of us would ever work a business in this field. Are we intending to really build a long term sustainable income, or are we merely working on a short term project, earning short term money…jumping from deal to deal to deal indefinitely?
Jus is strong but there is a new drink on the market.
Luvico Super Elixer.
Brunswick test: ORAC fn : 1514,13 ORAC per milli-liter.
Ingredients: Mangosteen, acai, goji, a lot of different beries, grapes etc etc.
1514,13 x 30ml = 452424 ORAC in 30 ml !!!
It is sold in Europe and In South Dakota ( USA)
Yes brunswick analyse is on the website. A clear 1514 ORAC per milli-liter!
Thats 54420 per serving of 1 oz.
Luvico claims that 15-25 ml is enough per day ( best taken in the morning and some in the afternoon)
It’s for sale ( no MLM ) for 20 euro’s a bottle of 525 ml.I thinks that around 28 USD.
Reading the posts reminds me of people that “shop” churches..
This one has a better choir..
That one has a minister that says it OK to drink..
Another one has 5000 members vs some that have 50…on and on…
Most of the companies mentioned have good products..and decent comp plans….
Having said that…I recommend work with a company that you feel does the most to make sure what you say it true so that you don’t have to worry about the product and can focus on building your business..imagine how shopping for a spouse would be if the above postings applied…there will never be a perfect one and just as you fall in love for a lot of reasons some may question…you are still in love and will do what you need to do to keep that love alive….
