Apparently, Robert Scoble has been offering Quixtar advice about their web initiative.

Quixtar Blog:

According to a blog run by Robert Scoble,
Quixtar technical staff has been talking to him about their website
because "people aren’t engaging with their company the way they want."
According to Robert Quixtar needs something
on their homepage that he would be willing to link to, and some real
human beings. Now that article was interesting, but what was even more
interesting was the previous article he wrote.

The problem is that Quixtar has chosen to ignore the abuse that is rampant among Quixtar leaders.

Yes, Quixtar needs to get more authentic and that starts by getting rid of anonymous and fake bloggers, but more importantly, they need to fix the problems that created the negative perceptions in the first place.

If Quixtar steps in and gets the Quixtar system leaders under control then the negative information online will naturally begin to turn to positive.

A good example is Dateline NBC. Some guy claims that he is making a quarter million a year and he isn’t….KICK HIM OUT! The integrity of hundreds of thousands of people was  at stake and the company acted as if nothing was wrong, even though the guy lied on national television.

I am not going to be holding my breath for Quixtar changes. They simply don’t grasp the fact that their behavior (and the leader’s behavior) have everything to do with the perception of the company. Change the behavior and the perception will change too. It would take time, but eventually, it would change.

Advice for Quixtar:

Make it impossible for critics to write anything critical because of your positive actions, in other words, clean house.
