There has been some controversy over the MonaVie-like product that Sam’s Club is now carrying (see previous story).
A quick summary before I give you some updated information:
Wal-Mart’s Sam’s Club is now carrying a product that is very similar to MonaVie with a price of $17.24 per bottle, compared with $39 per bottle for the MonaVie product. Comments from MonaVie reps have questioned the quality and ingredients.
With that in mind, here is an update with additional information:
Frut A Vie ingredients:

Juice, Pomegranate Juice, Goji Juice (Wolfberry), Apple Juice,
Cranberry Juice, Blueberry Juice, Acerola, Grape Skin Extract, Bannana,
& 1140mg of Mangosteen Peel Extract. (incomplete – I am working on getting the rest of the ingredients).
MonaVie Active ingredients:
Proprietary blend of acai (freeze dried powder and puree); Fruit juice
from concentrate (white grape, nashi pear, acerola, aronia, purple

ORAC Values:
MonaVie has an ORAC score of 1027 per oz.
Frut A Vie has an ORAC score of 3500 per oz.
An Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) score is a test tube
analysis that measures the antioxidant levels of food and other
chemical substances. If a food has a high ORAC score, then it means the
food is high in antioxidants. The antioxidant’s strength is its ability
to eliminate oxygen free radicals.
Do you think that when it states ingredients in order from highest amount to lowest, and "water" being the first in the "other ingredients" section on the label, that it would make sense for fruitavie to have a higher ORAC score than MonaVie? Also here's a link i'm sure you noticed during your research where MonaVie has or is suing Fruitology for trademark infringement.

I dont have a pacer account to see further information.. but maybe somebody does.
By the way, I used to be a supervisor at Sam's Club.. the chance of a product like this even making it very long is slim.. either way, it won't be a big seller for sure. I don't think we need you "worrying" about us.. lol. I just happened to know all the leaders of TEAM personally, they're pretty smart guys and certainly know exactly what they are doing. My sister, for instance, is one of them and is making more in 3 days now than her best MONTH in Quixtar. One thing you fail to mention in these last few posts is that even though Orrin admits to making 4-5 times on tools as he did with product, he has now significantly dropped the price of the system because of how well MonaVie pays. If you got a hold of a recent OW CD you'd even hear him state that it really doesn't even matter, according to long term TEAM plans, whether MonaVie is even around in 5 years. I also wanted to apologize for coming off so rude the other day. I realize that you don't mean any real harm. I would like you to realize one other thing though.. you don't know the big picture when it comes to the TEAM. You barely even know much of anything. It's just not possible unless you were in. You of all people should know that.
Josh, a check on Pacer shows the case was voluntarily dismissed in March. You owe me 8cents 🙂
Hey ty, just to make sure.. I wasn't meaning that "you barely know anything". Sorry about that. lol. I meant in regards to the TEAM. They have a Policy Council which meets privately.. unless you've found a way to tape the meetings.
As far as responding to your question.. Are you saying that Orrin has personally let you in on his vision for some reason?.. And if so, that would mean you either don't think he can do it, or aren't interested in it for one reason or another? The fact is, that if he does what he plans to do, then every one of you "NMP's" are foolish not to be hooking up with him right now. I'll let you in on a secret.. David Steadman types would have you believe that Orrin's entire goal this whole time is to make a quick buck off "the system", so let's just assume for arguments sake that isn't true.. then have you put much thought into what his goals really are? He wants and always has wanted to take this industry mainstream. Some people ARE NOT interested in that. Can you give me a reason why? I'd love to know. There are so many reasons FOR it.. and I just can't think of one against it.
Josh,
So being "in" will get you the big picture as opposed to speaking to Orrin directly on the phone?
Ahhh…who cares since I barely know anything.
Josh,
Just curious, have you ever spoken with Orrin Woodward directly?
I'm not saying I know everything, but I am saying that MonaVie is a poor choice of business if Team wants to stay long term.
I have also said all along that Orrin more than likely has something more in mind….that doesn't ease the sting of waking up and seeing your product being undercut by $20 a bottle at Sam's Club.
Yeah, I've spoken with Orrin quite a bit. Chris Brady much more though, who is his equal partner in TEAM. My Sister, as mentioned before, is a TEAM leader and Hawaiian Blue Diamond in MV making the max that level can make. That begs the question, I understand.. why am I waisting time blogging on here. Well, a couple minutes a day to offer up information people don't have.. why not. Anyway, you ought to understand something that is quite simple.. Orrin wanted his vision to involve the Quixtar company. They weren't interested so he left… and without any communication.. 99% of his group left with him. Don't you see how powerful that is. I don't think it's ever been done on that scale… and on a completely ethical and legal basis. You know how the industry works ty. Low startup costs allow anyone with $40 into the business. With that comes unprofessionalism, lack of business logic, desperation for money, etc. etc. The TEAM is well aware of these things and has learned to live with it and move on. If you believe in the industry as a whole as long as the business is legitimate (good product, compensation, support) then maybe coming from that approach would make more sense when critiquing other companies. Remebering one thing most of all.. the things people say, even though it will have little consequence (like Forbes), has the potential to steal someones dreams. I hope you know what I mean by this. If not, i'll answer any questions anyone (except for TEX) poses. lol. Later.
Josh and Others,
The reason Orrin is in Monavie is thesame reason he was in Quixtar – to give him a group of downline to sell his tools to. Read the article in Forbes. His buisness is a tools business. He was publically promoting Quixtar long after he knew of the high prices, low retail, etc. The only reason he left Quixtar is because they were shutting down his "tools empire" by telling him that his teaching "stacking" was unacceptable. He would promote anything as the greatest as long as he gets to sell his "leadership wisdom tools".
well, John, I won't get into much here. This notion has been tried before. That Orrin "ended up" making quite a bit more on the tools then in Quixtar is much more revealing of Quixtar than of Orrin. That is truly a fact. Let me tell you why. The days he realized, that with less volume than he had in Quixtar, that he would be making 6 times or more profit in MonaVie.. HE DECIDED TO LOWER THE PRICES OF THE TOOLS BY 33%. Show me the person, in Quixtar, that was selling tools at lower prices than the TEAM was. I AM GOING TO WAIT FOR THIS UNTIL HELL FREEZES OVER. His TEAM blew past ever single other LOA in that company and maintained better growth all the way up to his resignation. Growth in not just his own volume, but in "downline" pin recognition also. Were you there? I saw it happen. Try to spin this whatever way you want but.. you just happen to be wrong. Orrin has the most loyal Team on the planet, and that is proof enough. Unless you'd like to insult the intelligence of over 70,000 people (including a handfull of IBOAI board members and biggest names in the company that left with us and are still with us). I'm sorry, but, if this isn't the last word on this "tool scam" nonsense, then it's not worth reading or responding to these blogs.. because the logic rules are being changed and they really are.. DEAD WRONG!
Hi,
I have an empty Fruit A Vie bottle in front of me. The label states that the first ingredient is acai puree, not freeze dried acaia. Scientific testing shows freexe drying is the only way to retain all the nutrients. I have found no sciece that tells how or where the acai in Fruit A Vie is processed either, which is extremely important. Acai loses its potency very quickly if it is not processed quickly and properly.
When I tasted the Fruit A Vie, I noticed it was very thin, even though they have added xanthan gum, which is a
thickener. I'm not sure why they add water. It didn't taste bad.
It may be an ok product, but if you want the very best to feed the trillions of cells in your body, choose Mona Vie.
The problem with Monavie is that its all about the money and not the health. Go to one of their meetings. They discuss health for 5 miutes and then tell you how to make alot of money for the next hour. It disgusts me that al this company cares about is making money. I would rather pay half the price for a product that has greater benefits.
You can get Monavie on ebay 4 bottles for $100. That’s a lot cheaper than $45/bottle.
actually lee,MV has a very strict policy against selling on Ebay. As a distributor you could get it at that price when you practice TEAM approach volume. Like 19$/bottle. Then you make through volume and can retail it and make $$$. win/win….
Brian,
If you had gone to a MonaVie meeting only a few years ago you would have heard a lot more about the product. In fact, one person after another was invited up to share their testimony as to how the product helped them. Unfortunately, people didn’t like that approach either and accused MonaVie and its distributors of making medical claims, calling it a cure for everything under the sun. So there is probably less of a focus on the product now because they are limited to sharing just the product facts; 19 fruits including the Acai Berry, 4 ounces = the nutrition of 13 servings of fruits and veggies, etc.
As far as the business side of MonaVie, why wouldn’t they want to share the incredible success they’ve had? I think they’ve earned the right to do so, don’t you? If it was you’re company, wouldn’t you brag?? Over 60 people are now making over $1 million per year and several hundred making six figures. 4 of the top 6 money earners in ALL of network marketing are from MonaVie including the #1 guy Brig Hart. 1 new distributor is cracking the million dollar per year mark every 4-6 weeks while 2 new distributors are hitting a six-figure annual income every week! No other company is doing this Brian.
When you find a product that costs half as much as MonaVie and hundreds of thousands of people who will confirm that said product is doing all of the wonderful things MonaVie is doing for people please let us know!!
JUS looks like it beats Frut A Vie AND Mona vie combined. I’m still looking at which to purchase so just wondering if you’ve heard of them?
The bottom line is this…1.) Does Costco’s, or anyone else’s version of an acai blend juice, for that matter have glucosamine, plant sterols, resveratrol or wellmune in it, which have been proven to assist with joint pain, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, reversing the aging of all major organs (including the skin), increased immune function, etc. or have the patent on the processing of the acai berry to keep it’s ORAC score at it’s full capacity? No. 2.) Will Costco, or anyone else for that matter, pay you to drink the #1 product in food & beverage for simply sharing it with others that you love & care about in order to improve their better overall health? No. I’m getting paid to drink Mona-vie, why wouldn’t you? It’s a no-brainer. Hands down, Mona-vie is the best product with the best company – no question.
I have a question for you Cheryl. What is the ORAC in an ounce of MonaVie?
OK people, the ORAC argument has got to stop. He who has the highest ORAC does not necessarily have the best product! And ORAC can be manipulated. What should be stressed is balance, variety and moderation. The medical community doesn’t tell us to go out and eat a TON of protein, or a TON of fat, or a TON of carbs. They tell us to eat a BALANCED diet that consists of the right amount of each.
I found this interesting: http://www.antioxidants-for-health-and-longevity.com/orac-values.html
BTW…forgot to mention that Art Jonak was actually at our meeting too this weekend & is mentoring peronsally with Orrin. My PC is Chris Brady whom I will visit with my team at their home in Michigan in JUNE.
Ty-I conpletely agree with you when you said in March 2008
“The problem with these good juice products is if they are really good, they will show up in Costco and GNC”
