Guess who’s back?

Yep, the MLM Blog is back from the dead.

After a decade or more hiatus, we are posting fresh daily content here again.

You can expect to find some of the more interesting news stuff, thoughts and opinions on the state of MLM along with video content, interviews and “What’s Working Now” type posts.

While I’ve been away from this blog, I haven’t been away from Network Marketing. In fact, I was recently named Business Builder of the Year for a 25 year old company.

I don’t think I ever shared the main reason for my hiatus – it’s an important lesson that might help you.

Back in 2008, I took a position as a Master Distributor for a startup Network Marketing company called EIRO Research.

Shortly after joining EIRO, the CEO of the company asked me to narrow the scope of my blogging and marketing to focus solely on EIRO. He wanted all of my eggs in one basket, which is understandable if you don’t understand affiliate and Internet Marketing.

So generally speaking I closed shop on the strategies that helped me earn # 1 Recruiter and Business Builder – the exact strategies that obviously led to EIRO wanting me as a Master Distributor.

As I look back, there was one person who warned me about the dangers of this thinking.

That man was Andy Andrews, New York Times bestselling author and world famous speaker.

Andy was the keynote of one of our events and shared a story with me later that evening about a time when he was a comedian on a cruise ship.

Andy told me that night after night, he was killing it, leaving the audience in stitches with his material. Then one night he decided to try out some new material on the audience.

The new material did not go well. In fact, he bombed that night.

His boss on the cruise ship called him into his office for a “talk” and the talk went something like “Andy, I don’t pay you to try out new material on the audience. I pay you to bring the material that I pay you for…your best stuff.”

Andy was basically telling me to stick with what got me where was at – my best stuff.

Sadly, I didn’t take Andy’s words to heart (completely) and EIRO ceased operations in January of 2011.

But now, over 10 years later I am back to building utilizing “my best stuff”.

Blogging, building a list, teaching and connecting.

If you’d like to see how this stuff works, first hand, stay tuned.
