Why would anyone start a business? The reasons are as individual as the persons who start the businesses themselves. And it’s pretty much the same for Independent Business Owners (IBOs) powered by Quixtar. In fact, here are the 20 most common reasons IBOs in the United States and Canada have joined up. Do any of them sound like you?
20 reasons people become IBOs
- Earnings potential
- Low initial cost, easy startup
- Freedom to be successful on your own terms
- Freedom to be your own boss
- It’s a people business, and I like people
- It offers incredible versatility―a large selection of products and services, you meet new people with new perspectives all the time
- Running your own business offers continual opportunities for success
- You can be as involved as you choose to be, from part time to full time
- Allows you to tailor the way you run the business to maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses
- Independently selling these products and services allows you to control pricing, offers something you feel good about to people who
matter to you- Offers a more productive use of your spare time, rather than sitting in front of a television for instance
- A business you can easily involve your whole family in without the demands and constraints of running a bricks and mortar store
- Becomes an asset you can pass along to your family
- Unlike typical businesses where you compete with others, being an IBO powered by Quixtar offers the help of others who have a personal
stake in your success―not your failure- A business opportunity whose business plan is easily duplicatable
- Run a full-service business without the typical inventory, warehousing, or staff to maintain
- Helps you tap today’s economy and technology to build a successful
business of your own- A huge support network available to advise you based on their
successes- An equal opportunity including no minimal educational requirements
- Pure entrepreneurial opportunity that supports your drive for financial freedom based on the work you put into it

20 reasons I quit Quixtar
1. Tired of hearing the unproven 2 to 5 year plan.
2. Tired of all the upline telling you how great things are and looking at their life it wasn't as great as they made out!
3. Tired of leaving my family to go to functions all over the country!
4. Tired of tools that said the same thing over and over!
5. Tired of looking for lookers!
6. Tired of Dextar running his big mouth all night long at functions.
7. Tired of people telling me the products were tooo high.
8. Tired of hearing the word dream used at a A/Q function.
9. Tired of seeing the Yager boy's and girl's at funtions trying to sell more tools and clothes that they designed.
10. Tired of seeing and hearing same old crusty rusty Diamonds that built it in the 70's.
11. Tired of spending money on vitamins that just made you pee yellow and did not make you feel better.
12. Tired of trying to talk to people to get to know them just to make money!
13. Tired of having to remember all the things to say to people that ask you the same old questions!
14. Tired of having tools in my trunk and car!
15. Tired of upline using religion to make money!
16. Tired of upline using politics in business to tell everyone who to vote for!
17. Tired of being told to go "Dream Building".
18. Tired of trying to get 100pv when you can't find customers who will remain loyal.
19. Tired of giving up vacations to go to functions!
20. Tired of people not really caring for people unless there is some money involved.
This is my personal experience after 16 years of A/Q.
WOW! Why did it take so long to figure out Quixtar was not for you. The stuff you mentioned above sounds terrible. I would not continue either if I had to go through the junk you did… WOW….
I agree. 16 years seem a bit too excessive.
And I note that the great majority of the 20 "quit" reasons have nothing to do with Quixtar per se – they were about his particular upline.
People do not understand how powerfull the system is on people who are really looking and hoping for something better. There was no Internet in 1988 and I had never heard of network marketing. If I had more information about the A/Q business back then I probably would have never touched it. There is enough information for people to check out and make their own decision now.
I have no idea who ray's upline is, but omit yager, and I got all the same reasons. Most glaring one would be losing money instead of making it.
